The Crusader Corps originated as an order of the Imperial Orthodoxy Sangha, the state church of the Imperium. An ancient and mysterious religious order of knight-like warriors, they are known for their unflagging devotion to the Dragon Emperor and religious fanaticism. Because of this, they make ideal bodyguards for Sangha officials and often make up Crusader forces in the GPA. Also, the Crusader Corps used to have control the power over the Angels and Death Cult Assassins. But now, they are re-designated as "Dragon Emperor's Own Divisions" (DEOD) and consists of psychic entities made by the Dragon Emperor, and divisions honorarily commanded by Dragon Emperor's created nobles
