Greetings, and welcome to Ijaka! We are a region dedicated to raiding, but likely you heard that already from our recruitment telegram.
In every region, there are two important positions: the Governor and the WA Delegate, both of these have special permissions over the region, they can change the Appearance, eject/ban others with Border Control, edit Communications, dismiss or build Embassies, and launch Polls. However, the WA Delegate may have these powers stripped or removed entirely by the Governor. The Governor is chosen by the previous governor and so on, and as of such, it's a locked position.
However, the WA Delegate rank is electable, being that the nation with the most endorsements in the region becomes WA delegate. This is the opportunity for raiders to either conquer the region, or for defenders to intercept a raider's attempt. Moving in before region update, raiders rush to take this delegacy, as it gives them the power over the region.
Founded in its current state on November 23, 2022, we've done a-many impressive things and will continue to do a-many impressive things. Our most historic operation was on Yessssss, which easily was one of the most consequential raids of the modern R/D landscape. If you're curious about that operation specifically, the region itself (which we hold) has links to our operation posts made during that time.
Ijaka is laid-back, yet probably not in the way you think. We still push for speed and grandeur, but we like to view NationStates less seriously than some in R/D may do (and hey, to each their own! Hobbies are meant to be taken however you want them to).
We are friends with whoever wants to be friends with us, and we want to help you learn the ropes, to eventually do something impressive, but most importantly, do so while having fun!
