History

While Tessen has a long and storied island history, this factbook only records the nation's history and data after "The Relocation". This event took place when the independent island nation of Tessen mysteriously disappered from its native reality, and reappeared within the American Islands archipelago.

Tessen experienced its island relocation in December 2020.

.

Etymology

The Republic of Tessen is named in honor of Robert Tessen, the first individual to settle on the island that now carries his name. Robert Tessen's trading post, established in 1764 (of Tessen's original reality), paved the way for all other settlers on the island.

The red represents the redeeming blood of Christ. The blue represents Earth and creation.

.

The national anthem of the Republic of Tessen is titled, "Battle Hymn of the Republic".
