Roleplay of Edoca and Montenay (EN)

Edoca and Montenay's regional roleplay is the planet Edora, a modern-tech roleplay similar to our real-life world.
Set in the current-day (Meaning Edora is currently in 2026), this world is an open-slate for your nation, full of cultures to be adopted, for conflicts to stir, alliances to form and break, or simply for your domestic worldbuilding to be brought out in its glory.

Claiming a territory

To claim a territory follow these steps:
Download the current map image file (you'll find it on top of this dispatch)
Using any image editor, circle approximately what zone of the map you want your nation to occupy. It must be on land and not owned by any other nation.
Send a telegram to Los Glaciares with the following information:
CIRCLED ZONE: The image you edited, uploaded to any online picture sharing website (I recommend using
catbox)
CAPITAL CITY: Your capital city's name. If left blank, the cartographer will display it on the map as '[YOUR NATION] City'
NATURAL RESOURCE: The resource to be generated on your nation's territory. Get creative! you can pick anything from oil to leather.
SPECIALTY: Industry (easier trading and natural resource extraction/harvesting), military (you'll start with a larger army), something else you think your nation should be renowned for (e.g.: sailing) or none. Our flexible RP allows for anything you choose to have an actual effect. This means, for example, you can develop a small military with advanced weapons in case you choose industry.
INTRODUCTION (OPTIONAL): It'll be your presentation, generally written as a tourism ad. You can write about anything related to your nation, and it can range from sentences to paragraphs.

Once you're done, the cartographer will get back to you as quickly as possible to tell you your claim status. If your claim is accepted, your territory will be added to the map, and you'll be part of the regional RP. If your claim is rejected, the cartographer will tell you why and you'll be free to apply again.
To keep Edora an enjoyable and positive experience for all envolved, we have a few basic rules of engagement:
All Edora-related activity must be in the message board of Soviedoca. For ease of communication between Edoca and Montenay's three languages, all posts in Spanish and Portuguese can remain in their original language, but a spoiler containing a translation (can be machine-translated) of the text should be provided.
Follow site rules, use common sense and avoid being insensitive for the purpose of being insensitive. For example, portraying crimes against humanity as a chapter in a nation's history is fine; Describing a crime against humanity in gruesome detail is not and may come into violation with NationStates rules.
If you want to engage with another nation, you must telegram them in advance. You cannot start an alliance, agreement or conflict unilaterally.
"Godmodding" is forbidden. Godmodding is defined as unilaterally giving oneself an unfair and unreasonable upper-hand against others (i.e. Declaring that you just nuked every city 30 times in a war that you were in the midst of losing); Doing so is bad faith and will not be considered canon.
