It hardly needs to be stated that a lack of community-oriented drafting, whether through the forums or Discord, often leads to sloppy proposals. Indeed, the at-vote authored by Pax Russica is a perfect example of this phenomenon.

The at-vote does not present an international issue. There is perhaps an argument to be made that ensuring that those with disabilities or neurodivergence have the same rights as their peers could be an international issue, but this is not what the at-vote does.

Instead, the at-vote spends its space assuming that member-states have no interest in providing assistive measures for the benefit of those disabled or neurodivergent on their own, and presents member-states with an assortment of vague and/or intrusive mandates.

The author seems to have been more concerned with naming as many assistive programs and devices as they could, and less with making a functional international law. A proposal of this kind should be noted by up-and-coming authors: one should focus on international issues, and take the time to actually draft their own proposal with community assistance.

For these reasons, we recommend voting AGAINST "Disability Assistance Law".
