I've been out of bed for an hour and a half. So far today I've sent about 60 litres of trash to a landfill site, and burned through a litre of diesel as part of my commute. I know my lifestyle impacts the environment.

Yeah, that's fine. If it's a little creative advertisement that's better, but either way is fine.

Smooth Transition in Lazarus

Source:Aukmnia Times

Almost over 3 weeks back, the new delegate of Lazarus, Treadwelia, came to power, succeeding Imkiville, as the WA Delegate of the sinker region Lazarus. The transition was rather smooth, as it was something that was in the talks for a long while. Imkiville was looking to pass on the baton to the next delegate once he knew how it all works. So, he was appointed as the vice delegate, after the coup and the following chaotic period of anarchy that Lazarus went through a year back.

Since then, Imkiville had worked to re-establish the institutions. This included everything from having a new system in place, a new constitution, reinventing the forum and so forth. However, due to personal reasons, she felt the job was too demanding and so, resigned and passed the baton on to Treadwelia. The transition was smooth and successful.

The sinker region is at a crucial phase in all the areas. While it has managed to recover its basic system, it still has a lot of work to do. The region needs to strengthen its internal structure and make it functional.

Regional Security Pact

The Region of India has set up a new program by the name Regional Security Pact to help small and developing regions.
This is a Security Pact that will help developing regions get a good start for their region. They help young and developing regions with security where developing regions get full protection against invaders and are advised on how to grow their region via recruitment.
Advises are also given on how to conduct regional events, elections and forum designing.

The program is currently being carried under the supervision of Prime Minister,Awell islands.

World Assembly Symposium

The North Pacific had announced the first (but hopefully not the last) World Assembly Symposium! This is the perfect event for WA authors, spectators, and voters to learn more about the World Assembly and to engage with other players in a shared quest for knowledge. The symposium was held from April 26 through Sunday April 29. The theme for the first symposium is the Future of the WA.

The Symposium had featured prominent speakers from across the multiverse, including WA greats like Imperium Anglorum, Wallenburg, Tinfect, and Ransium, and prominent gameplayers like Kuriko, Xoriet, and Lord Dominator.

Elections in 10KI

Source:10KI Regional Newspaper

10000 Islands saw an unusually busy election season, with a Delegate election and a vacated Senate seat meaning that they would need to hold a total of four contests. Islanders hoping for a hard-fought election with plenty of fireworks were surely not disappointed by the Delegate election, which featured Lower Columbia, The United Royal Islands of Euramathania, and Witchcraft and Sorcery.
In the first round of balloting, no candidate won a majority, with Lower Columbia receiving 3 votes, and United Royal Islands and Witchcraft & Sorcery each receiving 24, sending the election to a runoff. This runoff was one of the more intense elections in recent memory, with both candidates and their supporters campaigning vigorously on the forums, the RMB, and the regional Discord. Further, the runoff saw a live Delegate debate on Discord, which is perhaps the first debate of its kind in regional history. During the debate, the candidates made their case to the voters, exchanging competing ideas on foreign affairs, transparency and reform, and the R/D game. The runoff election was a real barn-burner, with the two candidates remaining within 3 votes of each other for virtually the entire 3-day runoff period. In the end, however, United Royal Islands carried the election, with 27 votes to Witchcraft & Sorcery's 22.

In the other elections, Twobagger emerged victorious against Hakketomat in the campaign to fill the shoes left behind by Sargon Reman, while Kuriko and Triora both ran successful (unopposed) campaigns for the other two senate seats.

Democratic Socialist Assembly Bans Former President

Source:DSA Regional Newspaper

After a recommendation for banning from the region was made against the
former DSA president, 124mm10, a Special High Judge election was held for
who would be the judge of that. By a vote of 28 to 3, Ratateague won
against Slobodskoj to become the Special High Judge. Ratateague made his ruling, 124mm10 was soon banned from the DSA region.

ROLEPLAY NEWS

Making Star State

by Vanquaria

Making Star State

Star State is my latest roleplay project in the P2TM forum. Its a SciFi roleplay that I really just started out of impulse. I further solidified my desire to do SciFi by watching some cool space battle videos. Seeing the clash of spaceships numbering in the tens of thousands amidst the twinkle of stars really motivated me to work toward making my ideas a reality.

The name of the roleplay, 'Star State', was derived from chatting with folks from the NS FT (Future Tech) server and Kyrusia termed FT nations as 'star states' which I thought was a pretty cool name. The title of any roleplay is important because it is the first thing people notice when they look at your thread in the forums. Is it cool? Is it provocative in a positive manner? Roleplayers have to understand that their game's title influences whether a player's decisions to check it out or not.

Worldbuilding is not an easy process but I am fortunate enough to be blessed with NS buddies with experience in the realm of FT roleplay. The first thing I did before even making a draft for the OOC was to setup a Discord server then talk about my ideas with others. I learned alot about FT roleplay while conversing with them. Concepts such as the Alcubierre drive were introduced to me and I learned about hard and soft FT, a concept I grasped immediately because of my background in MT/PMT roleplay. I also utilized the NS FT server, just asking questions because that is what the server was made for. I wasn't afraid of speaking my mind in such a large server since I've been on many NS RP servers and I'm used to it though I can see why newbies would be less inclined to be as open because of the number of people that would read their questions.

After that, I started writing my ideas down. The Star State OOC may seem very well fleshed out but it was not an immediate process. I made a heap of drafts using the NS drafting feature and did some research for things I wasn't so familiar about such as ship shields, a concept that I also asked about on the NS FT server. Since this is SciFi, nearly all concepts are entirely fictional but I wanted to understand the theory behind them regardless instead of simply copy pasting stuff from the FT glossary. If I simply copy pasted stuff onto my OOC then if one of my players asked me a question about it, I wouldn't be able to answer it. Not being to answer player's questions would just make me look bad because I am supposed to be able to answer questions about my own roleplay.

When I finished worldbuilding and writing up my OOC, I took the extra step of making a map for my roleplay. Even though maps are not necessary for all roleplays, there are settings that would benefit greatly from a map for example a fictional world with fictional nations. This was my first time making a map for a SciFi setting so it was a learning experience for me. Despite the numerous repeats, I eventually succeeded in creating a product that I was satisfied with which is the roleplay's current map.

Vilitia Champions Again!!
by Indusse

Last weeks saw the semi finals and final of the World Cup 82 hosted by the dragons (Apox,Valanora,Mriin and Cosumar). This season saw Indusse plagiarizing and the cup going back to Vilita. The semi finals were between Farfadillis and Turori and Vilita and holy empire. Turori and Vilita belonging to the same user won the semi finals and both marched to the World Cup 82 Finals at Valanora. Turori met the reigning champions Vilita at Battleground stadium,Raynor city. Vilita defeated Turori 0-3 at the given 90 minutes.

Vilita who is the current World Cup Committee Vice President and the founder of Atlantian Oceania is also a very active nation and is found in the top leaderboards of NS events.
A single World Cup season consists of A World cup, A baptism of fire Tournament and Cup of Harmony Tournament. The Cup of Harmony was won by Kita-Hinode from Esportiva.
