Conch Kingdom, I would like to be the first to announce that the new constitution, the Conch Creed, has passed. With a vote of 24-2 (a margin of 92%), it has clearly won a majority of the vote. As a result, the legislative system is no more and the constitution will come under the care of The third british empire. Thank you all very much for your votes and for your time.

In that case, it is the MoFA who is in charge of making sure everything is enforced and such until his return.
Ahem, excuse me. According to the new consitution, the MoDA is the second in line for the Prime Minister, so therefore, you, Haim, are responsible for enforcing the new laws until the elected PM returns.

2. dark skinned people live in places that would make white people tan sooo hard. the darker the skin the more resistant they are to sunburn

Yes, but not immune. When I mean darker people than i, I mean African American people have gotten worse sunburn because they thought they could get away with not sunscreen. You're not immune just because you're tan.

So, for the regional poll; If scanning a child's brain could be considered unethical, what about all the other mandatory things a doctor must do to a child, such as at birth? why not just toss the thing into an MRI the second it comes out? it will help the parents know of any issues they may have while raising their child, and be better prepared for them.

Haimato and The people of starlight

As far as the poll goes, I think the presupposition that anyone is "predisposed to violent activities because of their brain structure" is both ludicrous and just absolutely, hilariously idiotic. I don't think there is anything in the brain of anyone that can cause or not cause them to be predisposed to crime or violence. It has everything to do with your upbringing, social status, and a billion other factors. Just saying there is one thing that can be defined as the wrong "brain structure" is so wrong. I feel like this could also very easily turn into a racist tool to discriminate against minorities and black people. Back during WWII, they had "scientific evidence" that African-Americans had smaller capillaries in their brains, thus disqualifying them from jobs like pilots. I feel like this is nothing more than a subtle tool to suppress those groups of people and discriminating against them even more.

No, what we should be focused on is providing a good, clean, upbringing complete with all the necessary education, nourishment, parental teaching and bonding, proper social forming, and some kind of spiritual education. All this nonsense about "brain structure" is just outrageous.

Not really seeing why we need a spiritual education

Spiritual education is vitally important to the education and development of a child. It teaches morals and respect, as well as hundreds of other life skills left out into today's schooling and cultural education.

Are you one of those fellas who believe that morality and altruism comes from religion/a relationship with a god?

I mean, we can do that without bringing religion into school

Where else is it supposed to come from? Today's world has decided that the truth is abstract; "I make my own truth". I simply fail to see how that is at all helpful in finding the truth. If it's not based on something, then we can't find it. Simple enough logic. If you can define truth in a completely concrete and logical sentence without making a single reference to anything religious or something affected by religion, I will retract my statement. But I know that is impossible.

Siberian wastelands wrote:I mean, we can do that without bringing religion into school

I never said bring religion into school. I said spiritual education. That can be going to a religious authority or place of worship; it could be something as simple as a religious studies class. I'm not against religion in schools; it was better when there was. But I understand the impossibility of that in this day and age, mainly due to people's violently negative views of religions that conflict with their echo chamber.

New Jaedonstan wrote:Stuff you can read in the post above :)

I honestly agree with NJ here. I'm not adherent to any religion and can see the bad it's done (mainly religious conflict that still persist), but having a class revolving around understanding the religious side of the world is not a bad thing. At most it'll bring some understanding amongst peoples of different religions. Don't make it a "Christian" class or a "Muslim" class cause that'll just cast people out. Just some class to study religion without showing bias to any of them. There are values of importance to be found within religions. Hell most of our modern day morals and even laws are based on Christian ideals.

This is true. I would have loved to have seen your justification of at least the abstract truth point, but I get it. Pointless argument is, well, pointless.
