Sorry can’t remember ??? It’s one of those exciting adventures I had as a small boy with my father that I will never forget. We were in a park with our home-made cerf-volant - that’s French for kite, my dears, and it was home-made by papa. He made it fly, then I controlled the strings and it tumbled to the ground. He helped me and together we made it soar through the air.
I mean, I did build one myself as a kid.

The thing is, there are two words that misalign, flown and kite.
You see, I built a kite a while back, and spent an entire 2 hours with my soon-to-be boyfriend, in a random (overly windy) park singing "Let's go fly a kite", but It was not airborne for more than a second.
But later, with the same guy, I built a helium aircraft (blimpy thing), and it flew for hours.
So yes, I have had the wholesome experience with kites and flying stuff, just not both at the same time.

History is always fascinating to me, because it's partly preserving the lives of people long gone, partly uncovering the possible truths of the past (like how history is a lot gayer than it initially seems), and partly because there's so much ridiculous stuff such as a monk 1200 years ago making an reference to an elephant in the middle of a paragraph about a Viking invasion.
