Rokkenjima just recently (within the last two years) decommissioned its last class of battleship and still fields a fleet of ocean liners because, why not. =P

Fact #2: Tamora's military equipment is almost exclusively based on RL Russian military equipment. Russia and Tamora have nothing in common IC, however. The reason for using Russian tech is that I try to RP Tamora as not having access to international arms suppliers and had to devise most of it domestically. Also Russian tech doesn't look very advanced to me ( compared to US) which also fits Tamora.
I mean there is some nice looking Russian stuff, Rokkenjima has a class of corvette which are Russian. Though for most stuff I go with American/Japanese/Israeli.
Fun fact #1: The people of the interior regions of the Huetlatoloyan still practice head-binding into the modern day. The process involves binding the head of a young infant so that the skull is elongated and the forehead flattened.
Yeah, I believe Tamora and Rokk both use the same corvette.
It's a nice corvette, and corvettes themselves don't get enough love on Mundus (or in real life for that matter).
The Tytorian Armed Forces use equipment from the following nations, in no particular order: Russia, the United States, Finland, Sweden, Israel, Spain, France, Turkey, Italy, Germany, Japan, Colombia, Australia, Taiwan, and the Netherlands. The government also maintains as museums warships from Brazil, Greece, Poland, and the United Kingdom, in addition to several of the nations previously mentioned. Furthermore, the king owns a Saudi Arabian yacht. Talk about multi-national inspiration.
Bah.
It's British tech all the way, including the speculative stuff.
