Plenty, though most of them are from long-running series - for example, my favourite Horus Heresy novel is Scars, the 28th in that series by some counts. Since including those would lead to a wall of text, I will keep it to shorter series.
Like many, I consider The Empire Strikes Back to be the best Star Wars film. More controversially, I prefer Matrix Reloaded to the original, and do not dislike the finale. Though it depends on what I am looking for, as they have very different feels, I generally enjoy Aliens more than Alien. Airplane 2: The Sequel has the funniest moment in my opinion, but I would be hesitant to say that I prefer it to the original overall. Words of Radiance is my favourite Stormlight Archive novel so far. In terms of games, Dark Souls II is my preferred choice from its trilogy.

Personally, I like every single season of American Horror Story *after* the first one more than I like the first one itself.
