They have been significantly lightened with a specialized armor package designed to meet the Airborne Standards. The engine has been switched from the 2,500HP gas turbine to a lighter 2,000HP variant, the decrease in weight means performance does not suffer. The hull is already water tight, and will accept water depths up to 7 feet without preparation. Snorkels are included with the vehicle and are stored in the rear compartment.

RP: Midnight Raids

At the base of the eastern foothills was a collection of gnolls, geared for combat. Adorned in metal armor and equipped with a variety of weapons, these gnolls formed the first raiding party of the generation. The gathering of a hundred gnolls stared into the borders of West kowen, teeth bared and guns at the ready. Standing at the head of the pack was a shaman who initiated a collective howl that echoed for miles. Under the faint white glow of the midnight moon, the mob broke out into a full sprint across the border. Their goal was to bring back food and tools in which they'd target hardware supply stores and food stores. As they neared the outskirts of the town (whatever one is closest to the border), they'd fan out and take on buildings in pairs, stealing only what they could carry and run.

Much the same took place down south along the Schwypian border. The southernmost jungle housed a tribe that was running out of equipment. They too formed a raiding group of a hundred gnolls adorned in much the same gear. They'd make use of the dark night to raid Schwypian border towns for tools, weapons and the occasional unaware person (should they be encountered).

To the north along the Areleand border, a third raid party formed, however of much bigger size. Nearly 250 fully-geared gnolls formed along the border and at the howl of the midnight hour, ran into their territory on the hunt for food and people.

RP: 3rd Carpathian War
Debrecen, Magyarorzag - Despite being claimed the capital of the republic, Debrecen lacks any government authority as the national and military leadership has evacuated north to the isolated mountain city of Szapanta. Despite this, the Debrecen remain the national capital and as such, when the Rumanians prepared to assault it the Magyar Alliance decided to dig in.

Debrecen sits in an area known as the Czapat Plateau, a low flat area surrounded by the Carpathian mountains on three sides, with the only large road connection cutting through the St. Stefan Pass. It was along this pass that the Magyarorzag dug in and where the Siege of Debrecen would begin. The 2nd Army Corp (4 NDF, 2 Armored, 1 ARTDIV, and Air Support) commanded by Lieutenant General Alexandru I. Cuza IV began the push north from recently captured Satu Mare toward Debrecen. The initial attack was successful, the convoy moved along the repaired highway without any opposition until they reached the foothills, where the convoy was harassed by small Magyar hit-and-run attacks, slowing their approach and caused a portion of the 18th NDF to fall away from the convoy to repair and regroup. The convoy made it most of the way through the St. Stefan Pass, with cover from three to Donau RI-8 attack helicopters, until a stinger-missile fired and struck one of the RI-8's causing it to crash and explode, killing all aboard. From there, things went downhill fast. Magyar fighters in the surrounding hills opened up and engaged the forces in the valley at the front of the convoy. Foreign supplied anti-vehicle rockets were able to take out the two lead vehicles and stop the advance as well as damage several MBTs. The forces at the rear of the convoy scaled parts of the valley walls to engage the Magyar on equal footing and with air cover they were able to push them past the ridge line and presumable out of the valley. The convoy spent the rest of the day and following days clearing the area and reorganizing themselves, reporting initial losses of 301, 1 RI-8, four APCs, and one MBT.

RP: Savage Combat

Raids from the Gnollish tribes have prompted a harsh response from Schwypia. When the Gnolls come to steal from the people of the border towns, many would cower away from the monsters, but the braver citizens would invoke their rights to bear arms and form militias to fight back against the raiders. Recognizing the Gnollish territory as a lawless dominion, the Gnollish warriors are not viewed as soldiers but as bandits. As such, the National Guard will be deployed to the border towns to protect them from further raids, while a mechanized battalion of 600 soldiers, plus their equipment, will be sent into the Gnollish lands to reclaim the kidnapped civilians and stolen equipment.

When the Archron empire asked Schwypia to withdraw from the Accord, the government sent no response. It is evident that the nation is torn between their close companion and their ally. But when the Schwypian regiment in the Rumanian States was ordered to assist the Rumanian government in fighting the rebels, as well as being reinforced with an additional regiment, it was evident what the nation's choice is for now: Schwypia will remain with the Accord until further notice. The Schwypian government asks for Archron to cease hostilities with Rumania and for both Rumania and the Magyars to stop their fighting and come to a negotiating table. With that said, Schwypian ships around Rumania are put on high alert and Schwypia's vessels around Archron retract and return to Schwypian or Accord ports.

In Schwypia, President Hethwyr is unconditionally beloved. Recent polls have ranked her within the top five greatest Schwypians of all time, coming in around the same place as her namesake, the ancient Schwypian queen Angelica the Avenger. This level of popularity has led to discussions among the masses about her role in Schwypian leadership going into the future. There are those who wish to see a revival of the monarchy system to instate the President either as Schwypia's eternal figurehead or its absolute ruler, while others believe she should hold the title of President for Life. These ideas, however, are still not the majority consensus, as most still wish to hold onto their right to vote for their leader, a sentiment currently shared by the President herself. However, unlike some Presidents in the past, she has made no official statement of how many terms she will seek. Could delusions of power be spawning within the President's head?

However it didn't seem to bother changing its course and kept going through the narrow body of water.

Sea of Trendaline | 26 Jan 2109 | This chance encounter would be the second instance of a foreign vessel nearing the waters of the Xin-Fael Confederacy in the past three months. Like the previous interception, a KJ-2000 Airborne Early Warning and Control System aircraft is the first to detect the foreign vessels and relay the finding back to the Lotus Islands. Although it is a much smaller force than the one prior, precautions are still being taken to ensure the safety of the nation. Military bases and units near the point of contact enter a Level 4 Combat Readiness State. Several airbases within striking distance are equipping strike aircraft with anti-ship and air-to-air missiles in the case of a worst-case scenario.

Destroyer Squadron 31, composed of a single Tianxia-class guided missile destroyer (comparable to a Type 55 destroyer) and two Tonghao-class guided missile destroyers (comparable to Type 52D destroyer) are directed to tail the two ships, making radio contact once they are within range of the search radars. Another two squadrons, Destroyer Squadron 55 and 92 are on standby in case things go sour.

Admiral Yammato confronts Karz before leaving. He asks him to sign a provision to Replace the Capital Garrison with The Marines. As he suspects the Army not to be Loyal. Surprisingly Empress Esolda considers Admiral Yammato her most important Admiral and lets Karz make final decision as her Lord Protector. Esolda is a bit paranoid about the Army Loyalty with rumors of a Purge. However Esolda is heading to Empress Rose to continue Planning Battle Plans.

RP: 3rd Carpathian War
After clearing the St. Stefan Pass with significant casualties, the 2nd Army Corp approaches Debrecen but before they come within the urban area, before fighting can start, the Air Corp and ARTDIV begin a preliminary bombardment of the city, targeting several areas believed to have large enemy concentrations. Three hours later the 2nd Army Corp (4 NDF, 2 Armored, and ARTDIV + Air) enter the surrounding towns, approaching the city from the southern and western sides. In the surrounding towns, which are mostly comprised of short, small buildings the army receives very little resistance, it's not until entering Debrecen that the fightng picks up. The first regiment to enter the city was nearly wiped out after receiving a hail of fire from the surrounding buildings, prompting a second, smaller bombardment of the city. This trend of enter, ambushed, retreat, shelling would continue for the next several days, with only the 2 Armored Divisions making any significant gains through the city. After several days of fighting the push was halted. At the end of the first week over 500 were killed and 79 missing with 4 APCs lost.

In Carpathia (the republic not region) two groups of counter-insurgents called the Carpathian Self-Defense Force and Peremozhtsi have retaken the city of Pecs from the Magyar Alliance and have been carrying out raids across the countryside with mixed success. Much like the Magyar Alliance, both of these groups want self-determination; however, the Carpathians are willing to cooperate with the Rumanian Government and after a meeting between the leaderships, the Carpathians agreed to fight the Magyar Alliance in return for the Republic of Carpathia becoming an autonomous republic within Rumania, at the end of the war. After the meeting, which gave the Carpathians a large amount of exposure and legitimacy, the two groups received a large influx of volunteers from both Rumania and from Carpathia and Magyarorzag.

In response to the loss of Pecs and the Carpathian revolt, the Diakok, the most radical member of the Magyar Alliance, carried out a series of massacres and attacks against Carpathians and Protestant churches within their zone of control, killing over 1,000 and destroying over two hundreds churches. The Diakok then declared the Carpathians to be a threat to the safety of all Catholics and Magyar and as such should not be permitted to own property within Magyarorzag, enacting a series of harsh restrictions on all Carpathians within in their zone of control. In response to the actions the Diakok was ejected from the Magyar Alliance; however, no fighting has occurred between the two and their focus continues to be aimed at fighting Rumania.

RP: President Tatarescu Killed in Terror Attack in Oradea
Oradea, Rumania - President Tatarescu was killed in a bomb blast during a speech in Oradea yesterday. The President was addressing the nation on the recent events, announcing his intentions for a third wave of financial aid as well as a addressing the war in the north. The President had just begun talking about the current events occuring between Rumania, the Accord, and Archron when an explosion rocked the stage. While the bomb blast was some distance away, the bombs used were filled with nails, pellets, and other debris which hit and killed the President. The President was immediately rushed to the hospital were he was declared dead on arrival from fatal head and chest injuries. As well as killing the President the bombs killed 211 others and injured over 500. The ensuing investigation has already determined that the suspects with the explosives had worked at the center where the speech was being held; however, it is still unknown how they got the explosives in and what their motives were, though it is largely suspected that the suspects were members of Diakok. After the President's death, Vice-President Anton Radacanu assumed the office of President, immediately ordering a massive investigation into the attack.

RP: Foreign Involvement
Bucuresti, Rumania - President Tatarescu (before his death) thanked the Schwypian leadership for their support in the 3rd Carpathian War, the Schwypian Regiments have been requested to attach into the 1st Army Corp which remains outside of Savadar, preparing for an attack.

Debrecen, Magyarorzag - Angered by the withdrawal by both the Icewindians and The Archron empire President of the Republic, Tamas Zoltan, declared "The Easterners have left us on our own, they leave with us their empty promises and lies! The East be damned, we will finish what we started alone!"

RP: Meeting
Oradea, Rumania - Despite the events occurring at home, Presidnet Radacanu has agreed to meet with the Archron empire and hopefully Schwypia in order to work things out.
