Jumu'ah (and any prayer in the mosque for that matter) feels strange now. After so many years of being told "Straighten the rows and leave no gaps", now the congregation feels disconnected somehow. Whereas before people would try to stand on your foot if they could, now they move away from you.

For years we lived as brothers, we celebrated each others holidays and enjoyed warm conversations over cups of fine coffee, then something happened one by one we went our separate ways each rationalizing it as justification for future inhumanity.
25 years Ago, the Muslim men and youth of Srebrenica were brutally murdered in cold blood by The Army of The Serbian Republic who hours previously had taken control of the area being tacitly aided and abedded by the ineptitude of the Dutch battalion as well as the underlying Islamophobia of the West and NATO. Left in the hands of their enemies they entered the next life while their fellow Bosniaks fought bravely against all odds in defense of the homeland against Serb Aggression.

I don't understand why every Western media outlet is bent on calling it a cathedral when it hasn't been one for over 500 years. It makes it seem like the Muslims just walked in yesterday and decided to start praying Salat inside. I'd love to see that same type of controversy over the Grand Mosque of Cordoba.
