So that is a short RP post after *Checks notes* like a year, but it is something. I'm trying to remember how to write on this site again like I used to.

Her serene highness, Empress Draexa Alēxxīa saō Ðardanexia II has taken the rare move to exercise her power of veto to block all further aid to Israel until 'assurances are made and upheld' by the Prime Minister of that country, Netanyahu that civilian casualties are prevented, humanitarian aid is not blocked, and further incursions into Gaza are halted. He majesty has been quoted as saying 'Promises were made to me personally during the last round of aid in October and I feel that I and the people of Syagros have been betrayed'

The Syagrot monarch's move is momentous, given that Syagros was the first nation to recognize Israel at its formation, and vocally supported it. Her great grandfather being deeply beloved in the nation's Jewish community for orchestrating a massive scheme to hide the nation's Jews, some even hiding in the Imperial Palace in Hektor throughout the 'Nippy' occupation. Asked for a response to the controversy over her veto, the Empress responded:

"I don't care. It is the year 2024. The request to not use Syagrot aid against civilians is not an unreasonable ask. Israel has an obligation to uphold its international commitments just the same as any other nation."

As a stern warning, she issued a proclamation:

"I want Prime Minister Netanyahu to know this: Not one. Not one Syagrot charity worker dead or the consequences will be severe. These are avoidable deaths, but he needs to put in the care to do so. Not a single one. Period."

Asked for a comment, Senator Chananel Aarons, noted critic of the Empress's progressive policy stance and party leader of the Pro-Israel CILP, had this to say:

"How rude of you to assume I'd disagree with her majesty on this. Is your paper a tabloid? I respect the Empress's concerns. The CILP will do all it can to get aid to Israel but her concerns are valid."

Interrupting the conversation while shouting from across the street, Senator Oculatus Draedexia of the Trojan People's Party quipped:

"We must do all we can to defeat the leviathan Jew state for the sake of our Greco-Roman values! Troy is for Trojans!"

Immediately following this interview, Senator Draedexia was immediately fined a ticket by police for 'disturbing the peace' but escaped a hate crime charge.
