I just realized how bad Glorious Society is. Originally it was formed as an Oligarchy run by me and IRL friends. Iron-fisted but well-meaning, then inactivity and I guess a coup by Glorious Leader and all the other oligarchs are dead and gone and it's now a hellhole dictatorship.

I just stopped trying to understand how my nation works, as somehow the population are really happy despite giving away 99.6% of their income to the government.

Money is not needed for happiness provided needs are met, and they do get to keep around 1,437 a year. Depending on your welfare policies then food and housing might be free, it is in my nation, as is education and healthcare. Leaving any post tax income to be spent consequence free.

Yep, and anyone in education, work, or actively seeking work can stay in a dorm or school owned housing for free. Taxes pay for everything. It also helps that my economy is non monetary. (Which sadly cant be represented outside fact-books or RP)
