Jazmin sighed as she stood up, sighing. “Well... that sounds like a plan at least.” She would help get together as many pieces of equipment as she could carry, before following Harlock. The trio would walk for about two miles before spotting a small town. It seemed modern enough, with roads and trees and buildings. One concerning thing to note was the... silence of it. There were no lights, despite it being around five o’clock. It was all... still...

Liline snapped her finger, “damn... I’ve never been inside the palace... would have been nice to see...” She groaned, jokingly. The two walked up the large stone steps. Eventually coming to the palace itself. Sephus saw the majesty of it all, (https://imgur.com/eL4ANUT). The Mera Emas, the Gleaming Red and Gold Palace of the Bez. Though, this palace was interesting in its design. Sephus noticed that the entire palace itself was the red and white building, but the palace was inside a castle? Like someone had decided they would put their entire beautiful palace behind massive stone walls.
“You know, this place was built inside of the old castle? When the bez was first a nation, the king lived in the big castle you see around you. But the first emperor, jasper, tore the inside of the castle down, left the outer walls up, and built his palace inside the walls. Just a little bit to note. And since then, the only person to add onto the palace was the last empress, the one before the current empress, who added a greenhouse.” Liline pointed at the massive glass building that Sephus had seen before. The wall had been opened, and extended to cover the massive greenhouse. It had a domed roof, but the building itself was rectangle shaped. From this angle, all Sephus could see was green and the bit at the top where it was clear. The castle part had two distinct features, a massive tower on the northeastern corner with a clock, and one turret on the southwestern corner. The turret was a typical castle turret, with cannons. But the tower was a gothic spire with a clock face built into it. But most fascinatingly, the innards of the clock were exposed. The tower consisted of four pillars of stone, all supporting the box with the clock face, and on top of the clock face was the conical point that extended several feet upwards. But below the box and clock face, a massive pendulum swung in the open wind. Gears ground and turned each other with almost no noise what so ever! The clock struck 1 o’clock, letting out a small chime of bells. Bells Sephus could see ringing, then one large bell rung once. As the two looked out in front of them. There was a huge field of grass, a massive lawn. Speckled with people, visitors and tourists. Most were walking the lawn, sitting on benches, there were only a few trees up here. And beyond the lawn/park, there was another set of black iron gates. And beyond that, was the path to the palace. The gates were locked, and soldiers all stood in front of and behind the gate.
