Welcome! You can run your nation however you like. Other aspects of the game are optional, like our regional government. If you're interested and joining it and helping guide the region, the first step is applying for citizenship on the forum. From there, we have a handful of elected positions with varying power. Delegate and Chief Executive (that's me!) are the heads of the region, and the Legislature (either 3 or 5 members) creates legislation to govern the region. We also have a Discord server for chatting on, there's a link in the regional home page.
The only other thing I can think of is that there's an upcoming event called Z-Day. There will be more info on that in the nearish future, but it involves Zombies (yay). Welcome again, and hope you enjoy making this place your home!
