So, finnally getting to my point, I was wondering how you guys found NationStates? I just thought it would be an interesting topic of discussion.

Same as Titanne. Looked for a nation simulator and rediscovered NS. I had been here before but I was essentially a marsupial. Never did anything in my region, only answered issues, didn't join the WA, talked to no one, and eventually let it CTE. I can't remember the name of that old nation, which is a great shame. Anyway

I came back to NS as a certain enlarged North American nation without a monarchy (a dogwhistle for NWA folks) and moved to the NWA, and well, that's kinda it for how I joined NS. We all know how the NWA affair went down in the end >_> but it gave me Thaecia so for that it was 10000000x worth it
