I checked up on the game a while ago and they introduced a kind of "Legacy" level where you could do something to reset your rank.

At the time when I got the game when it first came out, I think I reached around LVL 49 or something. All I know is that it was relatively close to the maximum you could do before they removed the leveling cap entirely.

Ohhh, I see. Yeah, you can reach LVL 99 then reset to 1* (star). You're a fellow veteran, I see.
