KOLCHELIAN ECONOMY STRONGER THAN EVER

Read the headlines in Straussberg. Cheers erupted throughout the nation. The economy took its biggest hit ever soon after the Conservative Party assumed control, and it was almost entirely blamed on them. The mid-terms solidified this, as the Populists gained one of the largest majorities in Parliament ever seen for any party. Their coalition with the Social Democratic Party allowed them to get a Prime Minister in power, too, albeit with some concessions as the S-Ds are the 2nd largest party in the nation.

Prime Minister Freinhausen’s work has not only caused the economy to fully stabilize, but it has bounced back and has steadily grown, withnemployment experiencing the first bits of growth recently, and the Kolchelian Industry is also making a comeback in many areas. The Prime Minister is soon to authorize 25 million Aredums to be spent on creating more work buildings, and 7 million to support the National Administration of Aeronautics and the Study of Space, NAASS, the nation’s space program. Kolchelia’s future is looking bright, and the Prime Minister is sure to secure re-election.

Heavy criticism has been lobbed at the Populists, however, following the near collapse of the Manufacturing Industry, pushing Kolchelia down to 11th in the Region, being formerly in the top 5. Representatives have assured that bail-outs and more funding of the Industry are soon to be sent, but many have doubts, and especially the thousands of workers recently laid off.
