Whatever happened to the exiles?

By 2023 both exiled governments had ceased to exist, they became redundant. However both the Latin union and the Nordic empire maintained Honduran diaspora as many remained in the countries they ended up in as a result of communism. Many of the more politically motivated exiles and refugees returned home upon the end of communism. But what actually happened to the exile groups?

New Montron based:
Government of the Republic of Hondura in exile
Also known as: Barcelona government, provisional government of national unity

The exiled republicans eventually grew into a heavily factionalised organization made up of conservatives, liberals, social democrats, fascists, syndicalists, anarchists and monarchists. This was because the government in exile was for premier organization for Honduran exiles around the world. All these conflicting groups found themselves on the same side in opposition to communist and Nazi regimes in Hondura.
The government in exile ceased to exist after exile prime minister Yuan Zhong declared that the government in exile ceased to exist when communism ended in Hondura.

The Greater Nordics based:
Honduran National Council
Konstantinburg restorationists

The HNC, based in Bergen, didn’t end until mid 2022, they touted that Josephine Von Konstantinburg was the rightful heir to the entire state of Hondura. The leadership of this faction refused to acknowledge the provisional government established in June 2021 and refused to recognize the coronation of Empress Masukei. Eventually however, princess Josephine ended the HNC by her own accord in return for being able to return to Hondura and bury the remains of the Konstantinburgs that were murdered. Prime minister Xingqin effectively stated that the Konstantinburg family wouldn’t be given state funerals unless Josephine relinquish her claims, she did relinquish them in the end.
