We in the COL do not find it reasonable to saddle new members with bureaucracy, requirements for citizenship and thus map placement is simply holding WA membership within the region.

How does the Citizenship process work?

Seven full days with WA-status in the COL, and continuing to do so grants full COL Citizenship, although Map Placement occurs as soon as WA membership is obtained, regardless of the seven day period, which concerns our Democratic Elections.

109TH INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATED WITH LIVELY FESTIVITIES

    A TRIUMPH OF SPIRIT
    FINLAND—AUTUMN 2026

After a "Quiet Year" of growth and recovery that followed the jarring effects of the Finnmark Crisis, Finland had reached a new peace. Though autocratic President Alvi Karvonen had a surplus of nationalistic rhetoric that put Finland and its culture on the highest pedestal, he had done little to curtail personal and political freedoms in the country, choosing to instead cement his authority by leveraging the latent nationalism of Finland and its political sphere. By December, unrest was sparse in all of Finland except Ruija—once Finnmark—where non-violent protests still peacefully continue. Ultimately, Finland had survived the turmoil thrust onto it after Karvonen's "bloodless reorganization" of Norwegian land last year, and the 109th Independence Day of Finland was celebrated in 2026 with particular liveliness. Throughout the towns and cities of Finland, virtually every business was lit with white and blue. Student and veteran parades filled the streets with Finnish flags and cheering spectators, and patriotic speeches by local governments drew white-and-blue-bedecked crowds into snowy town squares. "The world must know," Alvi Karvonen insisted in a video statement, his tone emotional, "that Finland has survived."

TROUBLED PAST, NEW OPENING?
18th of December, 2026

Arriving in Moscow in early morning, the Empress of Iran would go onto her toughest part of the tour. The events of 2024, coupled with the very recent creation of the Eurasian Federation of Soviet States, makes the visit all the more important yet tough. Fully aware that the EFSS would happily see her be dethroned and most likely killed due to the nature of her title and position, the Empress is set out to play a very difficult and complex game with her Moscow counterparts. From the get-go, the opulence of the Monarchy has been cut down. Leaving the jet, the Empress would be wearing a simple glowing dark red dress that was covered by large white fur, imported from Russia. Smiling warmly at the people and press gathered, the Empress did all she could to speak with each person individually to showcase her down-to-earth nature rather than the imperial monarchical nature. Making her way to whoever was to greet her, in a dignified manner she made sure to smile and remain open.

Although big changes were underway in the new Union it was also advantageous to allow those from the outside to speak to them even those with strained relations. The Empress would be allowed to visit Moscow. She would be scheduled to meet with President Viktor Ivchenko for a meeting in the Kremlin.

”Welcome to the Kremlin, Esfir. I hope all was well in your travels here and we can have a productive meeting.”

On the rights of women, the Emirate is committed to women's rights through the framework of Sharia law. Our women have the same rights and will be working shoulder to shoulder with Afghan men to rebuild the nation. There will be no discrimination against women, but of course within the framework of Islam. The old images of the Taliban whipping women or other similar acts are of the past, the Taliban of the '90s is not who we are today. On the issue of minorities, the Taliban is an inclusive movement, the Pashtun domination is an exaggerated propaganda talking point by cynical forces. I myself am not Pashtun, I am Tajik. All Afghans are brothers under the Emirate, no matter if they are Sunni or Shia, Pashtun, Hazara, Tajik, Uzbek, Turk, Baloch, or Nuri. Our policy is that reconciliation, not hate. On the matter of sexual minorities, they will be treated equally under the framework of Islam as well."

[ Prime Minister Hesiana Leira ]: "Mr Muttaqi, it's all fair and graceful in words. But words have to be followed by actions and Iran needs a strict validation of said actions. Therefore, we do have a proposal. Iran will recongise Afghanistan and it's new government and it will actively try to help it through means of trade and economic support but in return Iranian officials will be able to be present in Afghanistan, in all parts of it, in order to secure that the rights and freedoms of women and minorities are respected and enforced."

TOKYO, December 1st — The 2027 General Elections to take place soon, the Government’s Opposition Leader takes a stand and criticizes Suga’s Economic Policy, commonly known as ‘Suganomics’ — Satou said “Prime Minister Suga has not reduced economic inequality in the country because the Empire of Japan is yet to come out of stagnation.” On the other hand, in official response, the PMOJ stated “What the opposition leader is saying is totally unacceptable, Mr. Satou is trying to hide the numbers that point exactly to the opposite.” According to Japanese government reports, official calculations for people below the poverty line in 2026 are 18.5% and in 2027 it will drop to 17.7%, as Prime Minister Suga predicted by mid-2024.

The CDP then created an Economic Committee with the objective of reviewing the Prime Minister’s Economic Policy and concluding that the official calculations of the current Japanese Administration are totally manipulated — Satou requested the presence of several economic experts and it was confirmed that official government calculations are true and indicate that by 2027 the Empire of Japan will have a decline in extreme poverty by 3.3% (17.7%). But after a few days of the committee meeting, the party (CDP) declared that “Suga’s Economic Policy benefited the rich more than the poor” and Satou added, “If we want to bring the Japanese economy out of stagnation, I will lower the tax on consumption in 5%” — Something Former Opposition Leader Edano has already proposed to Parliament, but was rejected. ‘Suganomics’ has the same ideals as Abe’s economic policy, but Prime Minister Suga wanted to make his own economic policy by adding real changes that would make a difference in the lives of Japanese workers — like raising the minimum wage, reducing extreme poverty, National Basic Income Program (NBIP), among others. Just remember that Suga was not born into a rich family, but into a poor family.

With regard to the reduction of the consumption tax, the Japanese economy is already in a delicate level of stagnation, it would be even worse if the collection of the consumption tax were reduced. Prime Minister Suga had a risky plan to reduce the consumption tax to 4%, but he ended up not having time to present it to Parliament — so that plan will be handed over to the next PMOJ.

LIBYAN NATIONAL TRANSITIONAL COUNCIL

NTC Hands Power To Maghreb Amid Mounting Battlefield Reversals
Tripoli, Socialist People’s Libyan Arab Jamahiriya
November, 2026
_____________

Before the National Transitional Council grappled with Libya’s future, they first had to secure it’s present. Like many other dictators, Gaddafi’s violence was horrible. But it was also a stabilizing factor. Without it, Libya was liable to crumble. Public support for the government was marginal at best, and rural tribal groups chafed under Tripoli’s control. Put simply, people hated the government. Even among the vast oil wealth the country had created for its citizenry, one could only tolerate so many days of televised mass executions. And when the greatest share of that wealth was kept in the hands of the man doing that killing, one begins to feel cheated. Beyond the urban discontent, Toubou and Tuareg tribes in the south and west of the countries were heavily discriminated against, treated as second-class citizens under Gaddafi. Worse still, in one of Gaddafi’s elderly fits of delusion and rage, he had ordered the mass arrest of Chadian ethnic groups, primarily the Toubou. This resulted in mass killings, torture, imprisonment, and what could non-controversially be characterized as genocide. This fact was well known to the government, spoken of only in whispers among the populace, and totally unknown to the outside world. Internal reports suggested 15,000 Toubou people were either dead or imprisoned, a full 10% of their total population in Libya. It became paramount to the NTC that records of the atrocities be kept secret, or at least revealed in a controlled manner by the NTC itself.

All of this motivated a mass deployment of police and military forces following the announcement of Gaddafi’s death and the formation of the NTC. With military checkpoints on all major roads and increased police patrolling, the Council hoped to keep tensions to a minimum and prevent a general uprising. Outside critics might allege this would only inflame tensions. They were correct.

Street celebrations in Tripoli and other cities dissipated quickly after the mobilization of police and military forces. An air of discontented tension swept the country. Signs of the change were everywhere. The TV channels for public executions now played static. Gaps of airtime ran where daily messages praising the Brotherly Leader had been removed. When a mural portrait of Gaddafi was vandalized overnight, police declined to clean it. At night, the cities simmered. Vandalism and fires were rampant, and police exchanged intermittent fire with street gangs. In the daytime, people were afraid to leave their homes. Usually, such state presence on the streets came with disappearances and torture. But there were some, mostly young men and even off-duty soldiers, who demonstrated. Police only half-heartedly prevented such demonstrations, which individual officers were often partial to. Protestors were anti-government in nature, and some more specifically criticized the lack of a plan put forward by the NTC. They called for elections, democracy, and freedom. Too many questions were left unanswered when the Council took power. Would they guide the Libyan people to freedom, or would this be another generation of Gaddafi By Committee?

Unsurprisingly, many didn't want to wait and find out. Over the course of October and November, Toubou and Tuareg tribes ramped up attacks and raids on Libyan outposts and bases. Police checkpoints became sitting ducks for drive-by shootings and bombings. After 12 Libyan soldiers were killed in a shootout with Toubou militants in al-Jawf, Libyan forces bombed a village compound suspected of housing the militants, and allegedly killed 19 civilians. This provoked mass outrage amongst the Toubou people, and the situation rapidly deteriorated. Toubou fighters quickly organized, seizing weapons depots, looting police stations, and attacking military bases. Issa Abdel Majid Mansur, the most influential Toubou tribal leader, declared the Toubou Front for the Salvation of Libya (TFSL). Claiming to have raised 10,000 fighters, the TFSL swept through southern Libya, taking most if not all of its ethnic lands in a matter of weeks. As the Libyan Army scrambled to organize a response, Tuareg tribes in the east saw their own opportunity, and revolted. By late November, government forces had been caught entirely off guard and had lost most of the south.

The entire affair did little to help the legitimacy of the NTC. It also exposed the systemic weaknesses of the Libyan military and its organization. For all its equipment and numbers, it was aging and in disrepair. Even equipment acquired from the SGRI in hopes of modernizing meant little as the government could scarcely fund their maintenance. As wealthy as Libya was, its military was simply bloated. After several embarrassing losses, including in al-Jawf, government forces entirely retreated from the south. And as developed as the state control of media was, such massive failures couldnt be kept secret. Tribal advances provoked a new round of anti-government protests and riots far worse than before. Police used teargas and rubber bullets and in some places live ammunition. 26 were injured or killed in a single day in Benghazi. 44 more in Tripoli. The Council began to realize it was losing control. Within the council, the civilians were growing wary. There were valid concerns about Abdullah Senussi, the chief of intelligence. And the military Chief of Staff, Abdul Fatah Younis, was becoming increasingly critical of the NTC’s direction of the war.

The Council was approached by Maghrebi diplomats. In exchange for Libyan sovereignty and the dissolution of the Council, they would be saved and guaranteed places in the future Libyan local government or Maghrebi government. The Maghrebi military would relieve government forces and restore order to the nation. With a part-berber nation taking charge, it was hoped that Tuareg rebels would lay down arms and only the Toubou would need crushing. Maghreb promised the arrest of opposition military officials, and investigation into their crimes. Tacit implications were made that Maghreb might not abide by the Council, should their request be denied. With little choice, the Council voted to dissolve itself. It’s total executive and judicial power was granted to the government of Maghreb. In just under three months post-Gaddafi, Libya has all but ceased to exist.

Addressing the nation of 8 million, the civilian members of the Council met with Prime Minister Benkirane and Field Marshal Haftar. They have announced the news, and jointly declared the Provisional Administration of Libya. By its constitutionally-given authority, the NTC has dissolved itself and suspended the Libyan constitution. By authority of the Maghrebi National Assembly, Fayez al-Sarraj has been appointed the Chief Administrator. The Libyan Armed Forces have been reorganized as the Libyan Area Security Forces, merging with the former Libyan Interior Ministry. The LASF has been placed under the authority of the Maghrebi Defense Ministry. General Younis will keep his post as its chief. The General People’s Congress and General People’s Committee will remain as a part of the Provisional Administration, now referred to as the Provisional Congress and Provisional Council. In his first address, Administrator Sarraj, with Haftar and Brenkirane standing behind him along with his fellow Councilmen, promised a new future for Libya. He invoked the common heritage and history of North Africa, calling on Libyan’s to embrace their Arab-Berber identity and seek unity among the people. Crucially, Sarraj has also announced the creation of the Committee On Crimes of the Gaddafi Regime, composed of judges, lawyers, activists, and civilian politicians. Former Justice Minister Mustafa Jalil has been appointed to lead the commission. Jalil was a noted member of the internal opposition to Gaddafi, often challenging the regime in court and opposing human rights abuses.

Quietly, a minor purge of the Libyan government has taken place. Senussi was detained in Tripoli, as were over two dozen other high-ranking defense and intelligence officials.

The Defense Ministry has announced the deployment of 20,000 military personnel to Libya, to bolster the LASF and hasten the defeat of Tuareg and Toubou militias. The Defense Ministry has stated once forces are fully deployed, an offensive will be launched to defeat all rebel forces. Including a host of support vehicles and personnel, the force comprises:

    20,000x Maghrebi Armed Forces Personnel
    200x T-90S MBTs
    200x BMPT-72 Terminator AFVs
