He'd also welcome any support from NATO members as well.

La Plata's military forces present at the base are put on high alert and will assist the Turkish authorities in finding the culprits. The Platino government also offers to strenghten its garrison with Mandrakist Youth and SIDE agents for intelligence and counter-terrorism operations.

With Turkish approval, SIDE agents are deployed to Istanbul for further operations and to work along Turkish intelligence authorities

Nineteen killed as terrorists down Resources Ministry helicopter
Nineteen people have been killed after members of the Katanga Liberation Army shot down a helicopter carrying Resources Ministry employees. The helicopter was transporting the employees, most of them surveyors and technicians, back to Elisabethville Airport following the inspection of a nearby diamond mining site. It was flying at around 2000 feet in the air when it was struck by several bullets, before being hit by a shoulder-fired surface-to-air missile, seconds later. Witnesses reported seeing the helicopter on fire, before it hit the ground and exploded. Nearby Police officers and soldiers attended to the crash site, but found no survivors. Two hours prior to the shootdown, a helicopter operating a civilian charter flight reported that it was struck by at least two bullets, but nobody was injured and the helicopter continued onto its intended destination.

The attack is the worst, in terms of death toll, committed by the Katanga Liberation Army since they announced the start of their guerrilla campaign two years ago. Their leader, Albert Adoula, claimed responsibility for the attack in a phone call made to the Police headquarters in Elisabethville. Adoula stated that a "guerrilla unit" of his "soldiers" perpetrated the shootdown in response to the recent arrest of several junior K.L.A. members. Adoula promised that more attacks would take place and asserted that "no enforcers of your occupation are safe". Police, Army and Intelligence units attempted to triangulate the location from which the phone call was made, but found nobody around when they reached the site.

Supreme Guide and Father of the Nation, President Rodier, condemned the attack in a fiery statement broadcast over the Zendasai Revolutionary Peoples Radio and People's Television Corporation, and promised that members of the K.L.A. would be hunted down and "dealt with". James Miruho, the government-appointed State Minister of the autonomous Katanga State, also condemned the attack, and said that Katanga State would "work with the central government to root out terrorists and criminals, wherever they may be hiding".

The region of Olivenza, historically disputed between Portugal and Spain for many Centuries has been declared the Federal Capital today to provide a compromise to the otherwise complicated situation. As a result, it falls under joint jurisdiction and ownership, ending the feud for the Town which had gone on for almost 800 years. Construction of Federal Buildings shall begin within the Region to establish permanent homes for the Federal Parliament and Government institutes. The military is already moving into the Area to establish SAM sites and other checkpoints for the future protection of the Capital. The Facilities shall include everything from Shopping centers, an Airfield and a new Train Station to basic things such as Housing for Workers and Utilities.

The Iberian Armed Forces conducted its first joint military Parade within the Town itself, drawing tens of thousands of onlookers from nearby cities and municipalities. In total 13,000 Personnel are to take place, of which 6,000 are Portuguese and the remainder Spanish. Over 200 Armoured Vehicles and 40 Aircraft will awe onlookers with their new joint Iberian colors and flags, showing the new-found unity between the two previously separate Armies. Portuguese Leopard 2A6s in formation next to Spanish Leopard 2Es, Portuguese Pandurs next to Spanish Pegaso APCs. A true show of diversity that would without a doubt tempt even those with only a small interest in the armed forces to watch closely. The Formations would carry not only the Iberian Flag, but also that of the EU and NATO to show the Federation's devotion to both institutions. The past month and a half have been some turbulent times. This article will describe some of the most important events that have happened in the past month and a half.

Riots in Stockholm

The riots in Stockholm are some of the worst riots ever seen in Sweden. In total, over 700 buildings were damaged, it costed 105 million USD, and 7 people died. The rioters, unable to get guns, used whatever they could get. Many used Molotov Cocktails, others used knives, some of them had even fought the police and stole their guns. After causing massive amounts of damage the rioters left the city.

The Red Three Organize the Insurrection

After the riots in Stockholm, the rioters were ordered to leave the city. The Red Three, made up of André Forssell, Agne Eliasson, and Elin Nobel, ordered the rioters to leave the city and go hide in northern Sweden. Northern Sweden is known as a stronghold for the leftist parties and was already facing the highest amount of protests. The region was fertile ground for the insurgency to grow rapidly in size. The Red Three have become the de-facto leaders of this rebellion.

Armories in Northern Sweden Overrun

The insurrection had large amounts of people but they were severely lacking in firepower since firearms are only allowed for the police and the military. Some of the first things they did was try to get into the police station in cities like Pajala and Kiruna. Despite the police's best efforts, the insurgents overpowered them with sheer numbers and got access to the armories. Eventually, they set their eyes on the town of Boden where the largest garrison of the Swedish Army resides. With the news of the insurgency some soldiers including some in Boden decided to defect and join them. With the newly acquired weapons and the help of the defectors several facilities were overrun and the resources that were useful taken.

Insurrection Trying to Take Over Several Cities

With the acquisition of firearms and other resources the rebellion is laying its eyes on several cities. As of the time of writing this the insurgency is trying to consolidate power in Pajala, Kiruna and Piteå. Significant progress has already been made but only time will tell if they can consolidate power in time or not.

_{| HELM OF SÈCURITÈ, MINISTÈRE DES FORCES ARMÉES - | The Republic of France has always maintained a global military presence as the Vth Republic itself extends far beyond it's borders in Western Europe. In fact 13 other territories fall under French jurisdiction and fly the tricolor of the Republic next to their respectable territorial banners. Like our Western counterparts in Washington D.C., France engages with it's allies on a multitude of operations from anti-terrorism and anti-piracy missions on a day to day basis and the occasional toppling of a rogue dictator when the situation calls for it. The Vth Republic has always maintained transparency and communications with the EU regarding operations in Europe but not so much with regards to French operations outside of Europe. As Paris struggles to maintain that transparency while conducting more and more operations abroad, it has become clear that France's intelligence sharing with it's EU allies should be expanded in order to prevent future confusion and shock back in Europe. President Emmanuel Macron has authorized the creation of a new directorate alongside the General Directorate for External Security or DSGE which is the French equivalent to the CIA and MI6. The new directorate has been named the General Directorate for European Intelligence or DIGE. The sole mission of the DIGE is to relay and notify France's EU allies of impending, planned, or ongoing French military operations outside of the European theater as well as those inside Europe. The General Directorate for European Intelligence will be headquartered next to the DSGE in the Hexagone Balard, Ministry of the Armed Forces in Paris, France. Member states of the European Union will required to send a senior ranking officer of at least the rank of OF-6 or higher to be privy in all DIGE meetings and relay outgoing intelligence to their respectable military and intelligence counterparts in their home countries. Erard Corbin de Mangoux has been appointed as the head and Director of the DIGE. |}

Prime Minister Ernst Jansen also looks forward to meeting in Jakarta with President Macron. If Bayern kahla's Chancellor Greta Scheffner and United arab alliance's Sultan Hamden accept, then these meetings can be turned into an international conference.

The Prime Minister awaits President Macron's arrival on May 1, 2022.

Regarding an invitation to US (Paramountica) President Joseph Biden

Prime Minister Ernst Jansen invites US President Joseph Biden to Jakarta to discuss diplomatic ties in the same fashion Indonesia has invited French President Macron, German Chancellor Scheffner and Omani Sultan Hamden to Jakarta.

Indonesia is fully and utterly confident that an alliance between Indonesia and the invited nations will bear great fruit that will help humanity live in unity and harmony.

President Biden may arrive in Jakarta whenever he sees fit, as long as it does not overlap with President Macron, Chancellor Scheffner or Sultan Hamden's conferences with Prime Minister Jansen.

OOC: What will be my population as Indonesia? Will I make it the 2020 estimate for Indonesia's IRL population or will I base it off my NationStates population (9 mil. as of writing this).
