Schulz mulls executive action as regional PM.
In closed-door conversations with senior advisers throughout the trial in Odinburgh it has been reported that Chancellor Schulz is mulling a possible regional executive order installing strict action against Romanic Imperium. This depends on the severity (or lack thereof) of punishment ruled at the trial’s conclusion, and whether or not Schulz agrees with the decision handed down. Archduke Craven has announced that he will be stepping down as Grand Leader. The Lotus Council is somewhat shocked, given that Archduke Craven has spent the last 10 years in office . Voxmire has seen much economic and cultural growth during his time in office, including the establishment of many diplomatic relations with neighboring states.
The Lotus Council is convening to choose the next Grand Leader. Archduke Craven has commented, saying:
"Look, i'm tired. I hope the next Grand Leader has a liking for coffee- he'll be drinking that like its water."

Grand Leader is the title of the leader of our nation; however our leaders are permitted to choose whatever title they want. The Lotus Council chooses amongst their ranks who will become the next Grand Leader.

Rumor has it that the Dux's famed niece and heiress to the Juana family fortune, Señora Nena Juana, is romantically involved with the president of 
Korbalis: Karina Zelenska. The Dux's spokesman would not confirm or deny the rumors, only stating that the Dux's niece has been reassigned to Korvalis on a diplomatic mission. The Department of Defense said nearly a million soldiers are now participating in operations against Romanic in one form or another, and several hundred thousand have already entered Romanic territory, with many thousands of Evergreen Republican Guard special forces being paratrooped into the nation by C-180's escorted by an armada of Sparrow 22 and War Eagle 17 fighter jets. The number of troops entering Romanic territory is only expected to increase as the day progresses as the Evergreen strategy of capturing major roadways near the occupied zone becomes clear. Apparently several stretches of highway, as well as a major junction in the south, are already under Evergreen control.
EVERGREEN REPUBLIC MAKES SWIFT ADVANCES IN MOST PLACES;
2ND WESLEYAN PARATROOPER DIVISION FACES UPHILL BATTLE NEAR ODINBUGHIA
The Evergreen advance into Romanic has been quick. Light resistance has been faced with running battles but matters have become very serious for the 2nd Wesleyan Paratrooper Division, and advances have been slower due to the recent passage of Hurricane Brad, which has complicated matters on the southern front. Paratrooper operations have been less hampered in the north, where conditions remain calm, but the 2nd Wesleyan Paratrooper Division is facing encirclement north of Odinburghia as forces face fierce resistance on roadways leading out of the major Romanic road junction that was captured earlier today.

Combat is fierce to the east of the captured junction in southern Romanic Imperium. We are still in communication with the 2nd Wesleyan Paratrooper Division, but are unable to supply them due to resistance. Reinforcements are being called into the area.
