Stuff like “our nation declares war on your nation” or “our nation will create an alliance with this nation”. Stuff like “my nation was founded in 1900 according to my lore” is permitted though.

Everyone's saying that someone is trying to "log into their nation." Should I be worried?

Okey I think that's a good idea as well. But I don't think a petition is necessary? Don't we just need to contact the foreign minister? (Or whatever that post is called)

Also it has 113 nations, not 34.

Yea I agree. So if you want an embassy contact the foreign secretary (or whoever is responsible for the embassies) and request an embassy. Is that how it works, even?

While many people have in the past have described Europe's embassy policy as 'watertight' or 'ironclad', it is slightly less so than it was in the past. However it is, Europe's government takes a very strong stance on the protection of Europe's neutrality, believing it to be the most important of its own responsibilities. It has served us invaluably in the past and has protected and sustained the region through times of peace and war.

What are Embassies with Europe?

Like many other regions, Europe views embassies as an in-game commitment between regions. They are established in cases where there is an already existing strong and long-term relationship between Europe and another region, or if there is potential for such. We view embassies as a symbol of friendship with others.

From this viewpoint, we expect cooperation between regional governments on matters of shared interest and friendship between our residents and those of an embassy region. Thus, due to this close-knit structure, we view embassies with other regions as something which breaks our stance of distant neutrality and asks that we cooperate heavily with another regions.

Since we hold our neutrality very dear, this game structure is well regulated by Europe's government and supervised by customary and statutory law.

All embassy requests which are taken to follow certain pre-set requirements regarding our laws, neutrality, interregional relations, suitability, and other issues are taken to the people of Europe for a vote after consultations with the Commission and approval with the Cabinet.

Who does Europe have embassies with?

You can view the list of Europe's embassies on its regional page.

Europe does not have embassies with passworded regions. We also do not have embassies with region tagged as ‘invader’, or ‘miniscule’. It is customary for Europe to not have embassies with regions containing less than 75 nations, though exceptions can be made.

In ideal partner for mutual embassies with Europe should be a larger, thriving community which holds similar interests to our own. These would include a love for world building, a space of inclusion for those of all backgrounds, debate and discussion on topics ranging from political to historical and beyond, and has interest in holding interregional events in common.

How do I apply for an embassy?

Any official embassy applications should be sent to the Delegate and the Foreign Secretary via telegram or through Discord. The application must include:

  • The name of the requesting region

  • The name of the delegate of the requesting region

  • Contact information for the foreign secretary or equivalent officer in the requesting region

The specific details for this process can be found in the LinkForeign Policy (Embassies) Regulations 2020.
