This one's fun for me, I'd want there to be an even mix of races, a volcanic wasteland, floating isles, a kraken, ents, wyverns, fairies, a great cavernous land underground where the Fire god resides, and more than any of this, I want a golem playing chess.

Definitely old churches. You've got several hundred-year-old European ones, and the 200 year old ones here in America (most of which are wooden, so extra creep factor), which are my favorites.
