I'm not saying you are. I'm just saying I understand why some people follow him, and some of the stuff he says about hard work can be helpful to a certain degree. However a lot of his advice regarding women, politics, religion etc are questionable.
i dunno, obesity does some sh*tty things to the human body
but roosevelt king
I once read an article where it states that there is a big chance that Trump hasn't eaten vegetables in the last 10 years lol
Question Of the day ( I think)
Do you believe in extra-terrestrial beings like aliens 👽?
Quite a few vegetables are delicious tho XD
Like? (I'm not going against you)
Most are indeed
They must be somewhere. If we will ever meet is another quetion tho
The rarity of such a thing like life appearing on earth can only lead me to believe in aliens, personally. I don't think that they've ever visited earth or some conspiracy theory sh*t like that, but I feel there just has to be some other organisms in the cosmos.
I don't that that America is... well, VERY democratic.
yes, there may be life on others, but there is one aspect - we are unlikely to know about it
broccoli can be good in some circumstances ngl, carrots, sugar snap whatevers, asparagus
It has its flaws, I'll admit. Corporate-Political Jockying? Rampant. Healthcare? Pathetic. (Well, not pathetic, just expensive). Not to mention that the two party system is polarizing. But we are definitely democratic. At least more so than other nations, even if that's a low bar to go by.
afghanistan be literally in the mariana trench of democracy
are you talking about real life or a game?
The Economist Democracy Index shares your opinion. They viewed US as a flawed democracy.

The only argument against democracy I've seen that comes close to convincing is that whether a nation is a democracy or monarchy, you're going to have terrible and great rulers either way
Almitruz and Hunetia dos
Exactly. The government system doesn’t matter. What matters is that people live their lives in freedom. Many people assume Liberalism and Democracy are mutually the same thing, but you can be liberal despite having a monarch like Denmark or even an autocratic ruling party like Singapore
The last thing I would call Singapore is liberal. There's no freedom of press, assembly, etc.
People are generally unlettered to live their lives though. Singapore is kind of an exceptional case. Considering how well the People’s Action Party essentially lifted the damn island out of poverty into development, I’d say go ahead with your dictatorship man, you’ve earned it.
Also not sure where you’re getting your information from, but people do talk negatively about the Singapore government on a regular basis. Singapore Youtube videos are often filled with complaints about inflation prices, water, foreigners being let into the country etc.
You can criticise government policies with no issues whatsoever.
It’s only if you defame a person in the government without any credible evidence, will you be sued into oblivion. Sure, it’s not the democracy westerners are used to. But I don’t think we should get to define what democracy means. Definitely prevents nonsensical issues like “X Democrat wants to send the immigrants to vaccinate your kids!” Kind of nonsense from happening.
The only “non democratic” thing Singapores government does is rig elections timings to make them for favourable for the PAP.
But honestly, I think too many people attribute democracy with simply having elections. Democracy is when the will of the people is carried out. And while I’m certainly not saying elections aren’t necessary, I can think of several European countries who have free elections, Free press etc. that behave less democratically than Singapore on a everyday basis.
I'm pretty sure that if you are prohibiting press freedom, assemble freedom, then there ARE something that you don't want people to know, then you ARE hiding something. And hiding not very good things. For example: "In November, Xu was convicted of criminal defamation for publishing a letter that alleged official corruption in 2018".
And you can do all that in Kazakhstan, people complain everyday in social media, but it's not because it has freedom, it's because they can't detain EVERYONE, Kazakhstan IS terroristic state. I said "freedom of press", not "freedom of complaining in social media", you can do it even in Afghanistan, Iran, Russia, etc (choose whatever you like (or don't like)). Reports of Freedom House: https://freedomhouse.org/country/singapore/freedom-world/2022 and https://freedomhouse.org/country/singapore/freedom-net/2023. You can read everywhere about state of press in Singapore.
