By mandating temporary breaks for veterans in their careers, you won't be solving the problem. Limiting veterans - when they have reasonably high public support - is corrupt and undemocratic. When veterans get the most votes - and if you limit them in that way - our elections wouldn't be fair. Veterans won't monopolize the election if people took the time to learn how our government works - and if newcomers had organized campaigns. If newcomers are motivated enough to run for Senate, they should take time to learn about our methods, rules, and procedures.
And I acknowledge that I wasn't a competent Senator (which I apologize for) - but at least I finally knew when to resign and move out of the way.
I say that newcomers should be welcomed in and that the “veterans” while they are very important must see that the majority of NWE citizens are not veterans and they also need representation.
And whilst you’re doing that, let’s ignore the fact that veterans are cementing their position and gaining more support. It’s like you’re trying to make Concert band. There’s tryouts every month, but there’s only 20 that are accepted. These 20 have already been in band for years, winning medals and dominating concerts. Then you come along, and you practice your instrument, using the same schedule or even more as the band team, but at the end, they always pick the OG 20, because whilst you’re blowing your lungs out on the flute, the band is attending concerts and rehearsals with much more effective training. Obviously this isn’t a problem in schools, because someone is always going to graduate. Personal experience.
In NS you aren’t going to have senators CTE or resign on a timely manner, and at the end of the day the senate always is the same. If you don’t give us a chance to show ourselves we’ll never get recognition.
I apologise for my toxicity, a 14-year old who lives in China and doesn’t have the right to vote can’t really understand democracy. I don’t really know what I’m saying, I’m just basing it off of personal experience. I apologise.
No, no; you don't need to apologize. Yes, veterans do seem to make up most of the ballot - but that's because we feel confident they're going to stay active and do well. Besides you and a couple of others, newcomers typically aren't that active here. And for that reason, veterans do seem to monopolize the election - along with how they make up most of the activity in the Senate. What I am trying to say is that if newcomers run an extremely organized campaign - and if they were active enough to advertise it - we could have more newcomers. Otherwise, veterans will continue to monopolize.
1/3rd of the current senate are first time senators, not including a bunch who are on their second term

Conservative party is open!
Conservative United Party
All Conservatives across the NWE UNITE
Domestic Affairs
Citizenship
We support the current system for citizenship. Being in the World Assembly while also being in the region for a week is perfectly fine.
Elections
The current electoral system - for all positions - does not need changes.
The New Western Atlantic
We should make peace with the secessionist movement in the NWA by any means necessary.
The Emperor's Authority
The Emperor's hold over the region should increase; he should dictate most regional decisions - and have the government centralized around him.
Roleplay
The government should interfere in the evergrowing roleplay - as it is a critical part of the region.
Government and Law
The Constitution
Of course, everyone should have their rights mentioned in the Constitution. Also, the region should educate everyone about the Constitution.
The Government
Regulating the government is essential to making sure it consistently serves the nations of the region and regional allies. There shouldn't be any tolerance for government corruption.
To give a voice to less influential political parties, we must have 25 Senate seats. We also need term limits to motivate newcomers to prevent older members from cementing support - thus giving newcomers more opportunities to serve our government.
The Justice System
The High Court should be further regulated - as they are quickly becoming more powerful - and to guarantee checks and balances between each government branch.
The Press
We must bring change to the INN for it to become an active force in the region. We could encourage people to report about legislation and other aspects.
Diplomatic and Militaristic Affairs
The World Assembly
The World Assembly is vital for our region's influence and is crucial to the New Western Empire.
Embassies
Our embassies in other regions must continue to operate to increase our region's influence. Gaining powerful allies is also essential.
The Military
As the region doesn't have a military, we must create an organized defensive force for our region's protection.
Our Agenda
Get recognized as an official political party.
Gain at least one Senate seat.
Recruit more members.
Unite most conservatives under our party.

what is the difference between the repub right and the conservative party
The conservative United Party isn’t dead.
As Secretary of the Conservative United Party I apologize and took it upon myself to fix these things and will be sending this to the Chairmen but here it is.

The Conservative Unitary Movement is back! Don't join the other fake parties! Join us instead!
Welcome to the Conservative Unitary Movement (CUM)! We are a conservative party that believes in freedom, progress, democracy, and other generic and meaningless buzzwords that don't translate well into the gameplay mechanics of NationStates. We barely offer any innovative ideas for how the region should be governed, and we also don't have a coherent set of actionable policies or specific goals, but who needs that anyways?
Please excuse our manifesto's crappy grammar.
Our Beleiefs
- We believe in cock and ball torture
- We believe in invading foreign regions for fun
- We believe that all diplomats must experience cock and ball torture before being allowed in here
