So what you have in mind?

I'll telegram you some interesting ideas if you want.

If you have any specific theme in mind, tell me

Oppressed then liberated, but then oppressed again until we resist and we do an epic war marked in history books. The soldiers who fought will then be liberated and the nation would celebrate.

Results of today's events are in. In free style skiign Kiri Mercer of Verdant Haven took the gold while Kathrine Russo of Paplia and Jauff Hamilton of Finmany took the silver and bronze respectivly

Verdant Haven took the gold in the bobsledding event as well, with The Ridewood Rockets leading the event, followed by The Daikon Dashers of The Onigiri Enclave and the Finmany twirls of Finmany.

Hmmm... Silver in Bobsledding? Honestly we weren't expecting any medals until the biathlon, but we'll take the medal. Congratulations to Verdant Haven and Finmany on their medals as well!!

Meanwhile, Paplia, Finmany, and Verdant Haven are just running amok through these games. The former two both have four each, and VH has five medals already. Finmany I understand, they got that Christmas magic, but I wonder what secrets the Forest holds? :3

Anyhow, up next is the biathlon, and judging from what I know about all the other competitors and nations, I'm willing to bet the biathlon is going to be a heated battle between us and Verdant Haven.

The people of Verdant Haven are going wild! Today was their first taste of gold, and it came twice - what incredible fortune! What luck! What athletes! The competition has been fantastic, and we're proud of our fellow Forest athletes, as well as the impressive performances from around the world!

People are cheering in the streets, and nearly all the channels are playing footage of the national anthem flag ceremony: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRujpAwckeo

The police are going to have to step up with extra patrols tonight to make sure everybody makes it home safe after the parties tonight.

We're actually at 4 currently as well - 2G, 1S, 1B. I'm maintaining a medal-standing chart on my local desktop that I'll append to my Olympic dispatch at the end of the games. Presently Forest is indeed exceeding expectations, with 4 golds, 4 silvers, and 2 bronzes coming home to live amongst our trees.

Our athletes look forward with respect and enthusiasm to meeting in the Biathlon!

We are pretty much Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull in F1 (I’m a F1 fan so it’s the easiest comparison I can do). I have good old Rock ‘n’ Roll 🤘🏻

I see your nation is cultured as well.

Why do think my motto is Via ad infernum. The nation anthem will make it clear 🤘🏻

This week we held the Winter games most contested event, the biathlon.
Verdant Haven did very well in this event, with Esmee Ryan earning the Gold and Jordan Skinner the Silver, while the bronze was taken by Kaguya Okomitsu of The Onigiri Enclave.

Rawr! What a story for Esmee! A young tax accountant, who spends her work week helping citizens receive their benefits payments, and now a gold medalist in the nation's most-beloved sport! Her image will be adorning the wall of every Havenian girl who dreams of glory in the arena of sport! The very picture of a scholar-athlete, she studied as hard as she trained, and it's paying off now!

And Jordan, our first double-medalist! Pulling in Silver for Biathlon as well as Cross Country, it's clear he got his spot on the school teams with his talent - not just because he was the son of the principal! A machine made for the snow, there will be plenty of excitement surrounding the podium finish of this young man as well.

The Onigiri Enclave - it looks like it came out as your predicted, with our nations dueling for the podium. We couldn't be more proud than to share the podium with you - our fellow Biathlon lovers! Congratulations to your returning Olympian Kaguya Okomitsu on her fantastic performance, and on your nation's second medal!

As Verdant Haven already said, it did largely wind up as I thought it did, with us vying for the podium, as while I was certain we'd take bronze and VH would get the silver, I was pleasantly surprised by Esmee Ryan getting the gold. All thoughts across The Onigiri Enclave were that pro skiier & skiing coach Jans Völkner or everyone's favorite hobo Diarrhea Dan the Dandy Duke would clench their second gold medal this year, and that newcomer Marigold Willowwill was a pompous blowhard.
However, as we saw today, Ms. Ryan skill was impeccable, besting even X4, a robot that used to be a tax accountant themselves before deciding it preferred being a marksman more. Jordan Skinner was no slouch either, winning the respect of both our biathletes as well as our cross-country representative Grog Umabe whom Jordan beat earlier in the games.
Meanwhile, The Onigiri Enclave is happy to now three distant athletes across their jaunts to the Winter Games to have won medals in the biathlon, with Kaguya Okomitsu joining the same ranks as the aforementioned Diarrhea Dan the Dandy Duke from our very first games ever and Jans Völkner from last year.

Verdant Haven had another excellent day, with Alexy Sheppard and Cheryl Moss winning Gold and silver in Alpine Skiing, while Shinzō Ayami of The Onigiri Enclave took the bronze.

In Curling the gold went to our very own Nokgar, while the silver went to The Ramen Bowlers of The Onigiri Enclave and the bronze to Finmany's Finmany swirls

At this point, the Verdant Haven media is running out of superlatives to express their excitement over the performance of this year's team. To see both Alexy and Cheryl reach the Alpine Skiing podium has sent announcers and fans in to an absolute flurry of excitement once more. There's still an event to go, and already talk is spreading of building some kind of statue or monument to celebrate the team's successes this year. We couldn't be prouder to be help represent Forest in this way.

Congratulations to Onigiri for a multi-medal day as well! Also, another good show from heavyweight Finmany, and huge congrats on the Gold to hometown team Nokgar!

On to the ski jump!

Citizens all over Nokgar will be tuning in to see the media surrounding Nokgar's curling team. And what an honour it is to bring a gold for Oatland as well! Congratulations to The Onigiri Enclave and Finmany, we are honoured to share the podium with you! Congrats as well to Verdant Haven and The Onigiri Enclave for Alpine Skiing.

Once more, we applaud the success of Shinzō Ayami and The Ramen Bowlers for their bronze & silver medal wins, respectively. In what appears to be another repeat of yesterday's biathlon, Verdant Haven was twice our better on the slopes, to which we tip our hat once more. This has indeed been a banner season for your teams and all the teams of Forest.
Meanwhile, Finmany continues to be the powerhouse we remember from last year, with their Finmany Swirls winning a medal for a second year in a row, and while I congratulate them for their bronze medal victory, I was almost hoping to see a rematch of the Swirls and Fishy Apples' Ice Cream Social in the the gold medal game, as many say that game from 2019's Winter Games was quite intense!!
We also congratulate Nokgar on their gold medal win this year in curling. That was such a heroic effort by your team, which, based on my tracking of the medal counts, finally puts your region of Oatland on the board, meaning no matter what this year, every region is at least walking away with a medal.

Now that we're coming down to the last event, the ski jump, let's take a look at that medal count (so far), shall we?

Total Medal Count (by nation):
1. Verdant Haven of Forest - 8 (G:4 - S:3 - B:1)
2. Finmany of Christmas - 5 (G:1 - S:0 - B:4)
3. Paplia of Forest - 4 (G:1 - S:3 - B:0)
3. The Onigiri Enclave of The Bunny Fire - 4 (G:0 - S:2 - B:2)
5. Ordand of Forest - 1 (G:1 - S:0 - B:0)
5. Nokgar of Oatland - 1 (G:1 - S:0 - B:0)
5. Wernher Magnus Maximilian Von Braun of Forest - 1 (G:0 - S:0 - B:1)
8. Everyone Else - 0

So... sorry to be "that guy," but my team actually has 3 silver so far (8 total). One of our athletes picked up two of them in different events!

Ordand

I think this year will be the same as last year.

Hmmm... you're right. You know what I did? I forgot to count Cheryl Moss in the Alpine Skiing event!! I'll correct that now.

Don't worry folks, We're going to look into why all the ski jump contestants have been stuck in the air since yesterday, which MUST the reason the results have been held up. :3

Results of yesterdays ski-jump event are in. Kiri Mercer of Verdant Haven took the gold, while Jacinto Abreu and Kathrine Russo of Paplia took the silver and bronze, respectively.

Once more, we find ourselves congratulating Verdant Haven on another win. Your athletes are something else!! On top of everything Paplia made an impressive 11th hour showing to bolster their already amazing performance these games, sealing your region's absolute dominance this year.

With that, the games come to a finale, and we have a final medal count folks!!

Final Medal Count (by nation):
1. Verdant Haven of Forest - 9 (G:5 - S:3 - B:1)
2. Paplia of Forest - 6 (G:1 - S:4 - B:1)
3. Finmany of Christmas - 5 (G:1 - S:0 - B:4)
4. The Onigiri Enclave of The Bunny Fire - 4 (G:0 - S:2 - B:2)
5. Ordand of Forest - 1 (G:1 - S:0 - B:0)

8. Everyone Else - 0

Most Golds - Forest, with 7
Most Silvers - Forest, with 7
Most Bronze - Christmas, with 4

Last year Christmas and The Bunny Fire dominated the Winter Games, but if we learned anything this year Christmas miracles and bouncing baby bunnies burning brightly are no match for mighty redwoods. :3

Lord Nanfoodle: "...and with that, I finally arrive in Oatland to congratulate our winning athletes and pick up our delegation. Honestly, I'm rather proud of ourselves. Our best showing yet in any Oatland Games to date, the second best showing for The Bunny Fire, we're responsible for absolutely ZERO international incidents for once, and only two Oatlanders died in the crossfire. A NEW RECORD!!"

Secretary of State Yujimei Natsume: *clutching Nanfoodle's waist crying* "Get me the hell up out of here!! These people are savages!! They took all my murdering an' stabbing knives at the airport!! All of them, Nanfoodle!! ALL. OF. THEM. All 374,300 of them!! And they wouldn't even sell me any replacement knives, or even a decent chainsaw, flamethrower, rocket launcher, or minigun!! I had to resort to hoarding dull hotel butter and steak knives, and they barely even cut butter!! I read up on them, Nanfoodle. They don't revile and obliterate their jaywalkers. They just TICKET them. And they have this place called JAIL where they detain you for years instead of say just impaling you on a spike in public and shooting hydrofluoric acid up your every orifice for something like committing massive tax fraud more than once like any sane civilization should. Seriously Nanfoodle, these people are monsters. Get me OUT OF HERE!!"

Lord Nanfoodle: *mouths silently to President Larousse while holding Yujimei* "THAAAANK YOOOOU... If anyone asks, pretend your airport security lost the knives or something." *speaks aloud* "I'm... I'm just going to take her back to the hotel, let her calm down a bit, then meet with the athletes before we head out."
