The Next Day at Aldenbourg Outpost in his Northernmost colony (sorry forgot name again) On Windsor:
Morning Breaks the Harsh Cold Night Upon the Outpost and the Tents Surrounding it.
for the Soldiers it was absolute Hell. During the Night a Strict Guard Shift was In effect, with a majority of the Platoons getting, at most, 4 hours of sleep. That is if they were not constantly interrupted by Hundreds upon Hundreds of False Alarms due to the soldiers mistaking Movement in the trees as the Natives Planning to strike, when it was Most Likely the Wind Coursing through the branches and leaves. Even the Smallest of Noises coming from far off in the Jungle were Quickly thwarted by the sound of a whistle from an officer, thinking that the noises where of whispers. Some Soldiers were So paranoid that Gunshots Could be Heard ring out to even where Lt.General Richard had to get out of his quarters that he is residing in every once in a while to personally tell his men to get a grip, which had no effect what so ever. When Morning finally arrived, the Lt. General would have at least the Joy of having the rest of his garrison come and Join him, as well as coming along with the Equipment and Weapons needed to Defend such an Outpost as this.
When he Stepped outside his Quarters, he looked up at the sky and took a deep breath, thinking to himself: "Today is a new day."
