Following the defeat of the Malgan team to Terranihil. This loss has sparked further anger against the Terranihilil which has resulted in numerous protests breaking out in nearly all major cities. The protests have turned most violent in Port Turanax where armed citizens marched down Main Street towards the city hall chanting “death to the Terranihilian murderers” before being dispersed by police and national guard elements. Today's resolution poses a threat to the culture of nations who participate in blood sports, I see it to be a form of cultural genocide. According to Stavenhagen Rodolfo a professor at United Nations University in his book The Ethnic Question; cultural genocide must be combated at all costs as it leads to the destruction of all of humanity.
If you don't buy that, I believe that the passage of this resolution would affirm that in some respect, animals are afforded better treatment than humans. Let me clarify; this resolution states that we will be banning blood sports because they "[result] in serious death or injury [for an animal]" however, we aren't stopping humans from participating in sports like boxing because they could face the same consequences.
For the above reasons, I urge a vote Against this proposal.

Terranilians Celebrate Football Win
Terranilians celebrate the victory against Malgax in the football cup in Guršaun, Intemil, and throughout Terranihil. The game had a record number of television viewers. Several Terranilian sports commentators have mocked Gear Up Sports and Patrick Saulburg for their prediction that Malgax would win the match.
Therúnk Arrested
The Terranilian soldiers retrieved Mikel Therúnk, the infamous leader of the Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Terranihil, after the Lyoan National Defense Force extradited him in exchange for the extradition of Andrés Andino Cazalla to Creeperopolis. Lieutenant Colonel Zatšer Sral and the last remaining soldiers in Altaia departed with Therúnk.

Lyoan Airline Hijacked
Lyoan National Airlines Flight 283 began as any normal scheduled flight. Taking off from New Bostonia International Airport headed for Kasimia, the flight was expected to be an easy hour or so. About fifteen minutes into the flight, after the plane had reached cruising altitude, four passengers stood up. The men brandished submachine guns of a Creeperian variety, the Figueroa 203 Tipo-2014. One of the group, apparently the leader, entered the cockpit, while the rest guarded the cabin. The leader of the hijackers ordered the pilots to land instead at Tigera International Airport, where they would make their demands known.
The plane touched down in Tigera approximately 41 minutes after the flight began. The hijackers established a radio link with the airport and began laying out their demands. The terrorists informed air traffic control that they were representing the group calling itself the "National Freedom Front". They demanded the release of Mariano Roberto López Laugerud, a recently captured member of the Free Creeperian Army dissidents, who the hijackers called "a comrade in arms". They also established their general goal as "an end to the evils of capitalism and the establishment of a Lyoan worker's republic". They demanded the resignation of the entire government and the establishment of said republic. The final part of their statement was that they would kill 1 hostage every 20 minutes if the first demand was not met within an hour.

Raid of Flight 283
Almost to the minute, the hijackers shot and killed one of the flight crew, a stewardess, and threw her body out of one of the plane's doors. The hijackers radioed air traffic control to inform them of the killing, and they reiterated their demands, stating that another hostage would be killed in 20 minutes if the demands were not met. While this was going on, the Anti-Terrorist Unit and agents of the Special Security Service arrived at the airport. The ATU provided security around the plane while the SSS agents, armed with Creeperian submachine guns, prepared to board the plane.
The agents waited until the signal was given. Then, two squads of SSS agents moved airstairs to opposite ends of the aircraft. The squad entering from the rear door breached, and entered. Then, the squad in the front did the same. The back squad was greeted by one of the hijackers, who aimed his gun at them. The SSS agents shot and killed the man. The front squad entered the cockpit, where the crew was being held. Two militants were present in the cockpit, who fired on the agents after the door was opened. One of the SSS men was hit in the shoulder, but fired back. After a brief exchange, the two hijackers were killed. The final hijacker emerged from the back of the plane, and he began opening fire, not aiming at anywhere in particular. Several stray bullets hit some of the passengers, one of which was killed by one. The SSS then shot and killed the terrorist. At the end of the rescue operation, two civilians lay dead, along with all four of the hijackers.

To celebrate the end of the Lyoan civil war the mayor of Qonqordia, Zeeshan Freeman, invites Lyoans to come to Greater Sacramento to participate in a Lyoan cultural event. He asks Lyoan artists to come and will also have Lizzo, a very popular Nasheed singer and Lyoan cultural music performer, come aswell.
