FAQ about the bank: TAXES

The Consulate does not plan to introduce taxation at this moment. All of the paid positions right now are government jobs, so it would be redundant to tax those if the bank is paying them anyway.

Private organizations that do not function for a profit will not be taxed. Since the Wiki is free for anyone to use and does not charge anyone Leaguecredits, it will not be taxed.

However, if Sacramento begins charging people for videos in his mapping org, those will be slightly taxed, for example.

If any of that is unclear lmk.

BANK FAQ - HOW TO MAKE MONEY

There are plenty of ways to earn money via the Consulate Central Bank. The first is to have a government job and to be paid by the bank for that, and followed by that is to sell another service, like Gagium making art.

You can also do the ?work command for petty cash, gamble, and etc, to expand your current wealth. But another way that I absolutely LOVE is every time you send a message (capped at one per minute, as in the bot will only count one every minute) the bot will give you 10-50 Leaguecredits. This is disabled for the spam channels, but essentially, it rewards you for activity. Like, I've made about 500 in the past few minutes or so.

Argument On Behalf of Mr. Buckley's Death Sentence Being Overturned
Presented by Defense Attorney: Randy Fallon

Justices of the court, we are gathered here to discuss the most important case heard before this court thus far. The life of this man hangs in the balance. On the 2nd of August 2015 the culmination of a six month long series of events befell Mr. Buckley. Mr. Buckley lost his job in February and along with it his health insurance. He lost another part time job in April. He started drinking in April. In May his wife applied for a divorce and took custody of their two children. In July he was evicted and lived on the streets for a week before moving in with his sister and her family. On July 30th, his sister kicked him out of her house to make him stay in a hotel in an attempt to make him sober up. On the 31st of July he lost visitation rights with his children. On the 2nd of August he took his neighbor's car for he hadn't one of his own and drove onto the railroad tracks with the unthinkable intention of committing suicide. He would have followed through with it, except at the last minute he had an epiphany where he saw his daughters' faces and realized he'd be leaving them half-orphaned. He changed his mind and tried to drive off of the tracks but the vehicle wouldn't get into gear so he fled. Mr. Buckley suffers from chronic depression, bipolar disorder, and alchoholism. He is a mentally ill person. Convicting him of capital murder was a travesty to begin with, he should be in a hospital not even in a prison. If you won't overturn his conviction spare his life at least. He has two children and a large and loving family to live for. Are we savages, to execute someone for attempted suicide? I think not. Do the right thing your honors. Mr. Fallon sits down.

Argument On Behalf of Mr. Buckley's Death Sentence Being Sustained
Presented by Prosecution Attorney: Jackson McCane

Your honors, there is no doubt that Mr. Buckley was and is a troubled person. Mr. Fallon puts on a strong case on behalf of his client. But it is all smoke and mirrors to distract you from the facts. The derailment of MetroLinked Train 447 was a methodical, well-planned crime. Mr. Buckley in the days before the crime did research. He searched on the internet for the railroad's timetables, found out when shift change was at the railyard security station, researched how to hotwire a car, and what privately owned vehicles were the most durable in accidents. When the day of his "suicide attempt" came instead of shooting himself, or jumping off a building, or even lying down on the railroad tracks, he hotwired his neighbor's utility truck. He took the largest and most durable vehicle he had immediate access to. He drove to the railroad tracks leading away from Pennsagoula station and lay in wait like a predator. At eleven-thirty pm precisely he sped his stolen truck through the fence onto the rail line just outside of the tunnel leading underneath the highway. The southbound express train had just left the station and was given the all clear to proceed. This was the last train of the night, it was jam-packed with people leaving town for the weekend. The security station was vacant for the shift change from the evening shift to the night shift. When the night shift security guard arrived he sent an alarm to the control center telling them that the perimeter fence had been breached. They sent a warning to all trains telling them to stop. But it was too late. Mr. Buckley placed his vehicle in such a way that it blocked access to a tunnel. He specifically picked a passenger train because he knew it would keep to its schedule. He also knew that southbound passenger trains are often pushed so the heaviest, most dangerous part of the train, the engine would be on the opposite side from him. He knew that the passenger cars would hit his vehicle at sixty miles an hour. He knew all of this and left the car on the tracks. He never intended to commit suicide. Instead of a suicide note, investigators found in his apartment a letter to his ex-wife, telling her how close he came to killing himself only to realize he still loved her and his children. He drove that truck onto those tracks with the intention of getting her attention and affection, not to kill himself. As a result of doing so sixteen people died, two of them children. One hundred and twelve people were injured, thirty sustained injuries that will disable them for the rest of their lives. Mr. Buckley's conviction for felony murder with the underlying felony of train-wrecking is entirely appropriate as was his sentence. He deliberately engineered a situation where he could cause a train accident and survive it. He acted with depraved indifference and malice aforethought for any other human lives in the situation. It was an act of extreme callousness and selfishness. The actions of a monster, not a depressed man. A jury of his peers judged him as guilty and gave an appropriate sentence. Please see to it that it gets carried out.

Olympic torch Arrives at Olympic Park
Fort Anfree - 12:00 PM August 11

At noon on August 11, several vehicles bearing the logo of the Gagium Olympic Committee got off Exit 2 of the newly-inaugurated Olympic Parkway, which was completed in 2019 specifically to serve the Olympic Park and the nearby suburbs of Dalmarie and Faverge. After exiting the Parkway, the trucks drove down the main road passing through the Olympic Park, passing several venues, restaurants, and housing buildings until the trucks pulled up in front of the Royal Stadium, a 82,000 capacity stadium built specifically for the Games. Numerous people in business suits and other attire got out of the cars, including the Chairman of the Gagian Olympic Committee, Norbert Simon. The men conglomerated at the main entrance to the Stadium, where several other people had gathered. In fact, dozens of employees of the Olympic Committee and other spectators had lined up on the sides of the stadium's entrance, waiting for something.

At 12:03 PM, murmurs spread through the crowd and they all turned their heads to squint at several figures in the distance. These figures would soon reveal themselves to be members of the Gagian Olympic team, jogging alongside the final man to officially carry the Olympic Torch before the Olympic torch relay would conclude. This man was Estienne Bazalgette, a 2016 gold medalist in the Men's 1500 meter run event. The athletes steadily approached the stadium, with the GOC employees cheering them on. At around 12:07 PM, the athletes reached the entrance of the stadium and stopped to talk to Chairman Norbert Simon. Estienne shook the chairman's hand while holding the torch in his left hand and handed over the torch to the chairman, who would keep it until it was time to light the Olympic cauldron during the opening ceremony.

The torch had arrived in Gagium on May 3 in the city of Chatrois, Chapais Commonwealth. Since then, it has been transported across nearly a thousand kilometers by over 1,400 torchbearers, some of them on horseback.
