The hard-nosed, hard-working, democratic, humorless population of 27.045 billion infernal caprids enjoy some of the most opulent lifestyles in the region, unless they are unemployed or working-class, in which case they are variously starving to death or crippled by easily preventable diseases.

There is no government in the normal sense of the word; however, a small group of community-minded, corrupt, liberal, pro-business individuals prioritizes Defense, with Law & Order also on the agenda, while Environment and Welfare aren't funded at all. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Pandæmonium. Income tax is unheard of.

The strong infernally caprine economy, worth a remarkable 2,564 trillion Faustian bargains a year, is driven almost entirely by the private sector, which is broadly diversified and led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, with major contributions from Retail, Uranium Mining, and Soda Sales. Average income is 94,807 Faustian bargains, but there is a vast disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 872,520 per year while the poor average 1,052, a ratio of 829 to 1.
