Overview of New Pacific Order Roleplaying

There are a number of different types of RP within the New Pacific Order, split between the Pacific's RMB and the NPO forums. We also have an NPO RP Discord, separate from the main NPO Discord, with an active community of roleplayers and roleplays. You can join the Discord here.

Here is a short overview of the different RPs we have, and who to contact if you're interested in joining:

The Commonverse -- the RMB RP of the Pacific

The Commonverse enable all nations in the Pacific to interact with each other in the world of RP by sharing the same map and universe. If you?d like to introduce your nation to a wider, interconnected world of over thirty other nations, this is the RP for you. The shared world, dubbed ?Enessa,? is built directly by the players, who determine all common roleplaying guides, rules, and events by shared consensus; there is minimal interference in the possibilities you can carve for your nation, and several organic global events can create collaborative and compelling storylines for all characters, nations, and continents.

The Commonverse RP takes place directly on the Regional Message Board of the Pacific.

Pokemon RP -- Characters, Pokemon, and Slice of Life!

Pokemon RP is a character-based RP that takes place in the custom region of Chora. You create a character and take actions in this region -- which has a national dex, a pokemon league, mystery dungeons, and more -- building up your Pokemon party, interacting with other Pokemon trainers, exploring hidden lore, or simply enjoying an idyllic slice-of-game roleplay. This is primarily done through the RP Discord. The game is designed to be extremely welcoming to newcomers of both RP and Pokemon but has a depth for those who want a challenge as well. Currently, it is the most populous RP that the Pacific has seen.

Civilisation - Turn based, real world RP

Civilisation is a turn-based RP set on the real world map. In-game, the first civilizations propped up at 1000 BCE; twice a month in the real world, the Civilisation RP world advances by 50 years. As there are only two turns every month, this RP does not require a lot of your time to participate, and even if you don't have time to post once in two weeks, your civilisation will simply continue to exist as an NPC. The goal is to mold your civilisation to your vision over time -- whether that be world domination, economic prosperity, or diplomatic even-handedness! Historically, Civilisation has consistently been one of the Pacific?s favorite RPs.

Investigation -- Lovecraftian Mystery RP

Investigation RP is a character-based detective?s RP with various settings according to the interconnected RP sessions at hand. Here, roleplayers cooperate to solve strange sightings, shocking crimes, or scary phenomena that befall the player-created cast of characters. This is primarily done through the RP Discord, which fosters communication and a set of ?rolls? based on a tested Tabletop RPG-like system. The RP is easy to jump into mid-session, but also regularly switches the mystery to be solved at hand to keep things fresh and enable people to explore a variety of ideas and strategies.

The MegaVerse - Arembia, the RMB RP

RMB RP is a superdiverse mix of spontaneous ephemeral plots enjoyed by newer roleplayers, and elaborate meticulous stories woven by worldbuilders, all of it occurring on the Pacific Regional Message Board (RMB). The canon is the MegaVerse, the shared universe of all plots occurring in the world of Arembia. Arembia has its own map and is currently in the year 2023 (or 5023 if you're historically inclined). It employs a dynamic technology progression and enables one to RP anything from the middle ages to a futuristic technocracy. Realism is valued but not obsessed upon, and if you think you can keep up with the RMB's speed, become an Arembian and give the RP a run. Queries go to Samasbhi, either in a NationStates telegram or a Discord message.
