Introduction During the fourth quarter 2017, The Sands ran one casino game per week, with the exception of week 12. This was the week of the NationStates World Fair, when we ran four games concurrently. Games typically lasted six days, running from Thursday to Wednesday. Games have a standard stake size of ten chips, and pay out appropriately to game winners.
In this quarter, we introduced two new games, Craps, and Pai Gow.

Footfall
Our footfall averaged at just over 80 players per week. Unexpectedly, footfall was lowest in the week of the NS World Fair, when only 44 players took part in our games. Our advertising that week directed players to our NSWF booth, instead of directly to our polls. This may have contributed to the low attendance. Footfall was notably higher when Slots was played (115 players), and lower when Pai Gow was played (average 52.5 players). Pai Gow was our main game the week of the World Fair.
445 unique nations have taken part in our games, making a total of 1060 transactions (average of 2.4 transactions per nation). We continue to have a strong core of loyal customers. About 25% of transactions (252) were carried out by our 24 most loyal customers, averaging 10.5 transactions each. About 50% of transactions (534) were carried out by our 79 most loyal customers, averaging 6.8 transactions each.

Accounts
Turnover was 10,600 chips. Of these stakes, we retained 6,900, and paid out 6,225 in prizes. This gave us a profit of 675 chips, or 6.4% of turnover.
We made losses of 1,270 chips from Craps, and 20 from Hold'em. Slots earned us 1,180 chips, Pai Gow (despite low footfall) 500 chips, Higher or Lower 310 chips, and Roulette 240 chips.
