Hi folks
We were raided by a raider organisation this evening. They kicked me (Sanctaria) out of the Delegacy, and unfortunately also banned and ejected some members of the community. Thankfully I've been able to unban those individuals, and they are welcome to come back.
I have also undid the damage they did to our RMB, flag, and banner. I have passworded the region out of interests of security for the time being. Those who were wrongly banjected will need to telegram me, or DM me on Discord, for the regional password.
I am so sorry this happened, but hopefully the damage will not be permanent. If you are a WA member and were not already endorsing me, could you please do so as soon as possible to return me to the delegacy, and hopefully we can get back to normalcy in a few days.

Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry this happened to you all; I wouldn't have thought this region of all places would have gotten raided. It's a good thing you've transitioned safely to a governorship ;-;
I'll pass the message along to the folks of Forest. My sincere sympathies. I'm glad it looks like they didn't do any irreversible damage. Hope you guys can go back to normalcy soon.

Dear friends in the IDU,
On behalf of Forest, please know that we are very glad to see that the International Democratic Union was able to so easily shake off an invasion of the raiders, and that things should be returning to normal in short order.
The game-mechanics changes to allow for a Governor in a region that lost their Founder, such as Forest did with Errinundera over two years ago, has been a god-send (Max Berry-send?) for many regions and countless players who just want to enjoy their communities in peace. Luckily the IDU retains its Founder-now-Governor, but not every region has been so lucky.
In any event, best wishes from Forest to the IDU! Get well soon and feel free to stop by to say hello!

Was it a quorum raid? Doesn't seem like there was anything at the moment which would have warranted that. Were they trying to break a delegate streak? What was the point?

No, we have an embassy with The North Pacific and Europeia, so they did it to try and provoke them into declaring war. We were just caught in the middle and a way to achieve their aims, sadly.
They did break the delegacy streak, alas, but it's nothing major. The wiki tracks length of service anyway.

Perhaps they also did it because at the time, the Delegacy had several powers associated with it, so there was possible mischief to be wrought by seizing the Delegacy in terms of gameplay mechanics. Looking at the "Activity > Admin" page, Sanctaria rectified the situation by stripping the Delegacy of all other powers and instead invested them in a Successorship, which is totally secure from invaders. And now the Delegacy has no real power, so it's a much less attractive target for would-be troublemakers.
Just my personal opinion, but it would probably be safe to open the borders back up soon, since the capacity to cause harm would be limited to spammy posts on the RMB or seizing the Delegacy as an end in itself until they were ejected.

So N-Day will soon be here. In the past the IDU would support Forest via the Canopy Faction. Unfortunately, they are not participating this year. On the Canopy Discord it is recommended: "Forest is applying to (unofficially) join forces with the Jellyfish Elite Fighting Forces (JEFF). I believe some of the other regions here may be discussing this move too, or otherwise foregoing the event entirely."
I think the loose consensus on the discord is that we're not really interested in the event this year either, but I'll let
