Hello Force!
All is good here. Another cool fall evening, excellent sleeping weather.

The casuras archipelago

Hi Canada

a few years have passed since I last time had a nation in this region. Probably I won't keep my pretty WA nation here for long but will exchange it somewhen soon with another (still good looking) puppet.

I'm sure noone cares ... but what I actually want to ask:

How did you come up with 'non-crappy region'?

Parkplace, The casuras archipelago, and Ngai ti empire

I think that is lost in the mists of time. It was already established when I got here in 2004. The only one I can think of who might possibly know is Redundancia.

Texas also sports a similar statement in their WFE. Also in the same shade of bright red text. Also displayed bilingually:

Howdy, Welcome y Bienvenidos to Texas - a proud member of the Non-Crappy Region Network™!

As you can see, their notice sports a trademark. And Texas was once founderless, like Canada, but was among those regions in a trial-run of mod-placed founders, before the process was stopped (if I understand correctly).

Given this, and Almonaster's info that it was already in place in 2004, my guess is that this may once have been a more common designation in the early days of NationStates, as a sort of statement of pride for a region that has attempted to distinguish itself from among the many probable-crappy regions back then. Perhaps among self-consciously "international" or cross-cultural regions?

But, this is just a guess. I hadn't noticed this until you pointed it out.

Oh, that is even more interesting than I thought. Funny how some things remain part of the WFE all the way until today.

Hey, you look familiar : )

Yeah, me and you have been in the region of Syria, before someone banned people and calimed it was a measure to defend it, although I joined way after it has been liberated by Security Council proposal and just was interested in what they going to do with the region now.

So what’s the craic with the zombies? We killing, curing or converting?

Stormaen wrote:So what’s the craic with the zombies? We killing, curing or converting?

We probably should of put up a poll.

Personally I like to research for a cure.

Kylynd, Stormaen, and Ngai ti empire

Cure is our default option. We've tried a couple of time for 0 fatalities, but been stymied by something. We could have another go at that. Getting people to research early is important.

Alternatively, I don't think we've ever gone for kill. 100% casualty target?

We did try embracing the hordes, but as I recall it wasn't much fun.

Devil Heart, Parkplace, and Ngai ti empire

There's musings Z-Day is going to be a little different this year and the news stories certainly seem to play up to that.

Who knows, we may yet have no options!

I have my military set to exterminate infected.

Please don't. Research a cure instead.
