What were you up to while the site was kaput?

Jedi Fallen Order, finishing Rebels S2 with my partner, Finishing the Dark Forces remaster, oh and I played Scrabble for the first time ever.

Emily and Sera are up there - it is such a tragedy how horrendously the shrunken runtime compressed their characters. If we had been given a couple of episodes, with Emily getting closer and closer to figuring things out as Sera becomes more forceful in deflecting her, it would probably be a no-brainer. Instead it was all forced into a single song, which would have been my favourite if it did not have such a rubbish ending. Still, I like pure good characters like Emily, and villains who refuse to stop because they cannot face the idea that they could have made different choices, like Sera. Plus having Sera as a villain who is motivated by what she believes is good would pair exceptionally well with the pure evil Adam and Lute, but we hardly got the space for that.

Other than them, it is probably Alastor just because he is a treat to have on-screen.

I went away on holiday, created some textile art as a gift for a friend, then did in-depth research on a niche topic which helped me ace a job interview and change career.

If I didn't know that the timing of events was coincidental, I would deliberately sabotage the servers. Who knows what I could achieve? Maybe I could become the leader of a small country. :p

OMGGG YEAH I TOTALLY AGREE!!! We could have gotten a lot moreee!!! Yeahhhh it got squeezed in and welp uh ohhh. The part ya thought would be cooler, of Emily getting closer and closer to the truth while Sera deflecting is actually a really cool idea honestly. And yesss Alastorrr ahhh the classic!!

Question of the Day:

How would you turn the crash into an in-universe event for your nation?

Tethys 13 wrote:My answer:
The Plague of Indecision. Some strange 'fluence spread across the nation, leaving the people listless and apathetic, to the point that all non-automated functions shut down, causing much damage and catastrophe. In the end, despite the efforts of those few who resisted the effects, it was beyond the capabilities of the Tethysi to resolve, leaving them in the debt of the higher power that saved them.

Probably not too different to it being a technological outage of the city after the internet tower beams were felled by an environmental event.

Anti AI "Agency" has caused chaos throughout aryako and the increasing hate towards the AI Citizenship Act caused a big chunk of the populace to revolt and alot of electricity cables were cut, softwares hacked, places wrecked, Infrastructure destroyed and alot more I can't even mention. Thus stuff was down for almost 9 days and well yeah woops

I've seen a lot of comments saying people did some work over the down time. It got me curious, what do you do for work?

Political conflict between the two dominant parties: Prideland Labour Party (PLP) and United National Congress (UNC) got very kinetic for almost everyone liking. Instead of the typical one shelling of thparliament's courtyard on Mondays and Fridays via mortar from allegedly a UNC fortress, it was PLP and UNC shelling each other's fortresses and the occasional gun battles.
While in parliament, the legislative violence consisted of shoe and plastic water bottles throwing and a few brawls between some members of parliament from both parties. Which was televised, several became becoming viral memes within the Capital.
Thankfully, no one was injured during the shelling of the city's constituencies. Even saw the utilisation of commercial UAVs.

The Orcuan Weekly:

This Week’s Advice From Orcuo:

Ever find yourself behind on the output of goods? Need some way to increase worker productivity while still getting past those pesky international human rights treaties? Well now there is a solution! A simple technique called the “Labor Division Rivalry System” allows for just that! All you have to do is the following: split the given workforce into multiple teams; have these teams compete against each other; the team that produces the most goods gets rewarded (food, extra break time, etc) while the other losing teams gets punished (extra work, decrease of break time, etc). This will push your employees to work harder than ever! Ensuring you are getting the most out of your workforce! Now some people in your workforce may not like this new policy, and may try to rebel, slack off, or unionize. But don’t worry! We’ve already thought of a solution for this hypothetical dilemma. If one or more employees try to fight back, punish their entire team. As the old saying goes, “one bad apple spoils the rest”; in our case, one unionized employee gets the rest fired. Using this strategy will quickly convince any traitors to reconsider betraying your work enterprise. “But wait!”, you might say. “What if an entire team rebels?”. Well in that case, it might be time to ‘terminate’ their work contract. Our top researchers recommend flamethrowers to ‘burn the contract’. Quick and effective! This has been Orcuo with this week’s helpful advice!

A transient temporal disruption in our holographic simulated universe which briefly plunged us into Limbo.

Tethys 13 wrote:Question of the Day:

As DFM expanded, so did the enemies. Suddenly, ouy of nowhere, A nation led K-9 (It was named Afillation Territory) came in a suprise attack, and bombed the biggest city, Malachistania. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a powerful dictatorship (named Ausstraila, which is, yes, the Australia of my universe) came and suprise attacked the nation also, sending bombs towards the capital Malachistan. After nine days, DFM ended it all, and nuked the opposing enemies. That sparked the end of the nine day war. Canonically, that is the second shortest war, the shortest war being about 4 minutes long.
