Oooh, interesting point. Fascism is wrong yes, but nationalism is basically patriotism for one's country. I don't think there's anything wrong with that. It's just because nationalism has been given a negative connotation because of what's happened during the 1930s-1940s.

For example, I think it's okay to say that your nation is the best as long as you're not being a bigot towards other countries/people. Being patriotic isn't wrong; when you begin to feel superiority against other people, then it becomes a problem.

The immigration policy of the Kanyori Empire basically comes down to this:

• You will learn the language on a native to near native speaking level

• You will adhere to the Kandorese cultural customs and holidays (Your own beliefs and customs are still allowed and most even have their own houses of worship which should be seen as gifts from the benevolent Kandorese government as a show of good will)

• You will not preach your religion in public, nor try to convert people to it; this is also forbidden for the "state religion"

• Any non-native person will have a visum which is legit for at most four years, if the person in question has not assimilated into the Kandorese culture by then; it can lead to expulsion after which they have to re-apply for citizenship.

• Everyone in Kandorith is equal and shall be treated equally according to law, no matter skin colour, religion, sexual preference, nationality, etc. But to become a citizen of the Empire; one is expected to follow Kandorese customs and formalities, not required apart from language and only being allowed to hold one nationality at any given time.
