The Justice rendered his opinion on Miencraft and Rateria vs Libertatem this evening, Sunday the 12th of July, ruling in favor of the plaintiffs.

"President Auxorii, while you make some good points, the truth is that the fact that the Assembly is defined in the Constitution (A1S1) makes its existence necessary; at least until the Constitution is changed. The fact that the Assembly can "create or amend binding rules affecting the operation of the Assembly itself" (A1S4) assumes that the Assembly be operating. Moreover, the Assembly does not have the right to give away its legislative authority; as doing so would require a constitutional amendment as the location of the Assembly's authority is defined outside its operations (A1S1), and therefore outside the Assembly's legislative authority. Of course the Constitution does not mandate in and of itself that the Assembly perpetually hold legislative authority, but one must assume it until an amendment is put forward and approved through the appropriate means. Furthermore, the Constitution does not concede the Assembly the powers to accord the President further authority, as the President's authority is defined in the Constitution (A2S2,3), and the Assembly's in A1S4. Interpreting the statement "Place restrictions on the powers of the Executive and Judicial branches, beyond the limits imposed by this Constitution" as meaning that the Assembly has the right to grant the Executive and Judicial branches further powers would be unreasonable; it goes contrary to the original intent of the Constition's writers, and sets a dangerous precedent.
It is therefore the Court's opinion that the Popular Delegation of Authority Act is not in accordance with the Constitution as a legislation, and that if the Assembly wishes to disband itself, it must do so in a proper manner, i.e. with a constitutional amendment
That would be all, and I consider the matter closed"

Anyone who mentions a single detail about New Jersey without also mentioning the urban-industrial decay of Trenton and the apparent peculiarity of gas station attendants is missing something.

It's pretty sad seeing those big neon letters ("Trenton makes; the world takes") today, in an age when Trenton doesn't make anything whatsoever and half of the lights have burned out and never been replaced.

I forgot about the gas attendants -- worse than Oregon's. I was told to avoid Trenton so went through Cherry Hill instead.

Forgot VI -- Beware, most of the Island drives on the wrong side of the road. Hot, muggy, and some of the meanest tourists I have ever met. Locals were stand-offish, probably because they though I was one of those mean tourists.

If you missed Trenton, you didn't miss much, except maybe a museum or two. Just about every American city has degenerated into a squalid wreck, and I daren't even think about what they're like now.

It is sad to watch America's cities rot away. I still believe that the answer is Liberty -- get rid of the Progressivist crap deliberately designed to destroy Liberty and Equality to impose their unrelenting Communist serfdom, and a return to Republican Classical Liberalism with an emphasis on Liberterianism -- republican as in republican governance, not GOP political party Republicans most of whom wouldn't know republicanism if it bit them in their wallet.

Narland wrote:I still believe that the answer is Liberty

I agree that progressivism and the GOP are a cancer, but I draw the opposite conclusion.

Umakia wrote:I agree that progressivism and the GOP are a cancer, but I draw the opposite conclusion.

Surely you do not believe the answer to be more tyranny (or more properly, more despotism)?

Narland wrote:Surely you do not believe the answer to be more tyranny (or more properly, more despotism)?

It occurs to me that all liberalism only produces a single, particular, sordid result. Whether this liberalism is shaded by left-wing associations (as in social-democracy and democratic-socialism) or by right-wing ones (as in libertarianism and liberal-conservatism) is irrelevant in the final assessment. The principal characteristic of such systems is criminal irresponsibility.
