A 7.2-magnitude earthquake has been occurred in Southwestern Kronica in 16.03.2020, exactly at 15:42 (3:42 PM). Affected areas are Petrovika, Plasna, Križemobor, Sveti Vlada, Šlejovniti, Tvrna, Igrov, Ovnigrad, Zluynavogry-Pleyuskvyna (Zlujnavogrij-Plejuskyvijin), Uva and Trikamanijkanavolkurnalmijovnislajig. There are currently 62,000 deaths confirmed and more are being searched, alongside +500,000 affected people. Confirmed deaths include well known national names like Joško Zorka Nikolić, Siniša Marić, Erik Babić, Dorotea Nikolić, Yeva Avetis Tavityan, Grigorios Theos Dimitriou, Tziporah Beh-Gadot and Yekaterina Nadya Yakovlev.

The death toll is controversial, with some theorists saying that the government purposely lowered the numbers on legal papers to avoid losing more money, and some say that the real death toll is around 300,000. KRONSTAT however, didn't address the rumours and theories and never published any kind of response to the public. The earthquake's cost is estimated as €200,000,000,000 to €500,000,000,000.

Minister of Nature Nediljka Stojanović said this in a press conference: "It is a huge tragedy for our nation. In a case like that, we should stay united as brothers and sisters. This nation has seen lots of unfortunate events, we lost millions of lives since the start of the 2000s due to those. We will help the ones who are affected as we did previously, we will send aid, searching teams and will provide them with safe homes. And to address the rumours I've been heard recently, there is no hiding. This tragedy took place no longer than 2 days ago, so we are still finding new dead, wounded and affected people between the cracked and ruined walls. I am proud to say that only %8.4 of the region now seems to be affected according to the reports we have seen. In a high magnitude like that, most countries in Strangereal would've been affected way more, keeping in mind that an earthquake this big hit a largely populated area like the Southwest, and affecting a city like Petrovika.
