I mean, I think its okay that foreign vessels fish there, because free movement. But what I don't like is a) that they take it all with them and do not trade it in the country whose waters they are fishing in, b) that they can come with huge large fishing vessels that are ecological nightmares (not really relaterd to the CFP, though), and c) that they can buy up all the quotas and thus bring local, small scale fishers out of business. These are also forced to fish less, because the industrial trawlers are overfishing and fish numbers decline.
If I had some say in it, there wouldn't be quotas for net weight of fish caught only, but those quotas would be distributed between different types and sizes of vessels to allow for ecologically and socially fair fishing. Sustainability and so on.
