So I just created a WWII heavy cruiser in Ultimate Admirals: Dreadnoughts that had an effective belt armor thickness of 2.6 feet/.81 meters.

For perspective, the Bismarck had about a 1 ft/30 cm thick belt if I remember correctly.

EDIT: oh, in battle against a heavy cruiser it outright blocked 500+ of the 800+ hits sustained (from light guns up to 9"/228 mm), ricocheted probably a couple hundred more.

What tradeoffs did you suffer to get that?
