King Ullivieri had just stormed out of his own meeting. He had called it anyway. Even after having a direct and personal talk with Prime Minister Leone, he would not see eye to eye with Ullivieri. Vapia was being stepped on, and the elected leadership of the ruling party fell short. But Ullivieri was merely Head of State, and could not do much. Or at least, that is what everyone thought. Ullivieri at this point had returned to his chambers. A bottle of wine and an empty glass waited for him on a small lamp desk. pouring a half glass, Ullivieri moved towards the window. A spot which he spent much time at. The office window is where Ullviieri would lose himself in thoughts and dreams. Ullivieri was not a popular monarch, only having 41% support from the people, if the polls were to be believed. The life of Ullivieri was a storybook in itself. He had been in line for the throne before the Amadeus line took over temporarily. He led forces in the attempted 2017 uprising. He had marched on Rovigia with the military against the Republican government in 2019. He was restored to the throne overthrowing the socialist sympathizers. Yet, he was seen as a weak, authoritarian monarch. His overthrow of the socialists was not seen favorably, as the socialists were indeed democratically elected. The socialists were popular in certain areas. The monarchy could only receive reliable support from the south. Ullivieri wanted. No, he needed to turn around his fortune. Give the people something that would give his popularity, and his self esteem, a boost. Ullivieri sat down at his desk, shuffling through the papers on top. He then opened the very bottom drawer on the lefts ide of his desk. He pulled out a document which had been made law, but was quickly forgotten in the fires of the Tysemny War. His enemies had not forgotten the document, but they too were distracted. The election season would start soon, and the politicians had more pressing matters on their plates that investigating a vote which on the surface, passed with a comfortable majority. To Ullivieri, it was the nuclear option. He had tried to stay within the bounds of his limitations, as a respectful monarch. But how could he respect his position, when he was disrespected by his own government? The answer was difficult, but it was simple. The nation was in a state of war. Under these circumstances, Ullivieri was the law, should he choose to be.
Today, he choose to be.
