Unbelievable, first the Tao fiasco, now this. These were the first thoughts of Ullivieri II, after receiving reports of Cameot seizing their trade ships. Vapia did not usually trade with OSEAN nations. Cameot was an exception, as Cameot was on former Imperium territory, and trade would allow Vapia to keep a more keen eye on them. Now, that trade was compromised. Vapian property was seized, Vapian sailors had been imprisoned, and worst of all, Cameot was looking like it was going to explode. The King knew what had to be done, but he could not act without upsetting the government. Reluctantly, he called for a meeting between the Cabinet and the Crown. It was not unusual for the Prime Minister to meet with the King, but for the King to sit in on a Cabinet Meeting was unusual. The Cabinet convened later the same day.

The group met in the Action Room, a room which sat a long table, with the Prime Minister sitting at the head. However, today, the King sat at the opposite side. "Gentlemen" began the Prime Minister. "I know that we are already embroiled in a crisis in the Tao, but we can not allow this situation to go unattended. His Majesty is here to offer us his own guidance, since our diplomatic efforts are stretched thin. I trust you have all read the report on the matter at hand. Cameot is a nation which is on its ropes. Our last reports showed that the government was locking down the nation. They suspect a rebellion extremely soon. I propose that we send diplomats to remind the Moralists that we can not be pushed around, and that we already have forced deployed in the region." There was a brief silence. The National Security Advisor spoke up. "I agree with the Prime Ministers position. Cameot is weak, and we will not have to do much in order to retrieve our citizens." There was another pause. normally, more people would be speaking up. However, the King had a notable expression, as if he had his own piece to say. Finally, the Prime Minister spoke again. "If His Majesty has an objection, then His Majesty has the floor." Another pause. King Ullivieri placed his hand back down on his lap. "I find the prospect of letting this opportunity to strike down an enemy slip, to be the wrong course of action. Prime Minister, we agree that Cameot is weak, but what you don't see is that this is more than rescuing our citizens. Cameot is a member state of OSEAN, it is a backwards dictatorship, who's masters have declared themselves as Dio. Their nation sits on Imperium territory. We have the opportunity to knock out multiple birds with a single stone. We should not be content with merely recovering our property." There was another short silence. "I strongly agree with His Majesties suggestion" said the Minister of Defense. "We have the power to cripple the OSEAN alliance. Even if they still maintain control over most of the region, they won't be able to oppose Imperium restoration effectively." "No" snapped back the Prime Minister. "Imperium restoration is not the aim of this government. This administration was created after the fall of the Imperium, and Stephen's tenure on Vapian soil as a local governor is more than what he deserves. This administration is concerned with the recovery of the citizens and property, nothing more." There was a longer, stone cold silence. "Well" said the King. "Then I have no more reason to be here." King Ullivieri stood up, and before anyone could give him a farewell bow, he left the room. The Cabinet was silent. It was clear that the King disagreed, but in the end the Prime Ministers directions would be followed. "Well then, it seems we have a consensus."

Imperial Desire (SR RP)

King Ullivieri had just stormed out of his own meeting. He had called it anyway. Even after having a direct and personal talk with Prime Minister Leone, he would not see eye to eye with Ullivieri. Vapia was being stepped on, and the elected leadership of the ruling party fell short. But Ullivieri was merely Head of State, and could not do much. Or at least, that is what everyone thought. Ullivieri at this point had returned to his chambers. A bottle of wine and an empty glass waited for him on a small lamp desk. pouring a half glass, Ullivieri moved towards the window. A spot which he spent much time at. The office window is where Ullviieri would lose himself in thoughts and dreams. Ullivieri was not a popular monarch, only having 41% support from the people, if the polls were to be believed. The life of Ullivieri was a storybook in itself. He had been in line for the throne before the Amadeus line took over temporarily. He led forces in the attempted 2017 uprising. He had marched on Rovigia with the military against the Republican government in 2019. He was restored to the throne overthrowing the socialist sympathizers. Yet, he was seen as a weak, authoritarian monarch. His overthrow of the socialists was not seen favorably, as the socialists were indeed democratically elected. The socialists were popular in certain areas. The monarchy could only receive reliable support from the south. Ullivieri wanted. No, he needed to turn around his fortune. Give the people something that would give his popularity, and his self esteem, a boost. Ullivieri sat down at his desk, shuffling through the papers on top. He then opened the very bottom drawer on the lefts ide of his desk. He pulled out a document which had been made law, but was quickly forgotten in the fires of the Tysemny War. His enemies had not forgotten the document, but they too were distracted. The election season would start soon, and the politicians had more pressing matters on their plates that investigating a vote which on the surface, passed with a comfortable majority. To Ullivieri, it was the nuclear option. He had tried to stay within the bounds of his limitations, as a respectful monarch. But how could he respect his position, when he was disrespected by his own government? The answer was difficult, but it was simple. The nation was in a state of war. Under these circumstances, Ullivieri was the law, should he choose to be.

Today, he choose to be.
