DAILY POLITICAL QUESTION #7

Have The protests at american Universities been blown out of proportion?
is there too much coverage on them?

Well they are protesting about an apartheid nation that continues to exist thanks to US aid at the expense of taxpayers besides using terrorism and genocide to abuse, murder the original people in their homeland.

So frankly not enough media coverage is given. It's like the US media is one-sided and wish to support the racist, apartheid nation because of the events that occurred in the 20th century.

The colonizers want to systematically enclose the original people with walls and government sanctioned terrorism

This is my take on this question. Moreover the way how the world except the Arab nations is supporting the colonizers just shows the level of influence these colonizers have

I love it when they claim the land is originally palestinian disregarding it is also the original Jewish land. There’s literally no other way than the two-state solution

I'd like to see a one-state solution where Jewish and Palestinian people can live in harmony, but successive Israeli governments have demonised Palestinians to the point where many Israelis view them as subhuman, and the Israeli government has also done all it needs to ensure that Palestinians can only view Israelis as monsters... :/

Good morning everyone👍

One state solution doesn’t satisfy at least one side (the Palestinians) from what I’ve seen and heard from them. Having two states with international guarantees and peacekeeping forces (optional) would cool down Israeli governments and generally relax Palestinians imo

Two state solution doesn’t mean Palestinians cannot live in Israel and vise versa. But for Palestinians to have their own country seems like a logical step to have a better and more stable future and this could potentially reduce the mutual stress which only heats the things up now

Congrats to myself and Iceagea for making it to the final. The final will be played after the third place match between Kronverg (Arsenal) and The aynie isles (Milan).

im gonna assume youre talking about the palestine protests
I can assure you at least 70% of the protestors are uninformed on whats happening in palestine or the history of it, probably cant even point it out on a world map. news outlets are milking the conflict like crazy, too much coverage.

my belief on the conflict: palestine and israel should not be under the same government and should be 2 different countries, but NO WAY should gaza or any part of palestine be under the rule of a terrorist organization that doesnt care at all about its people. the top hamas government officials are a bunch of billionaires who live in qatar and dont want to spent the money they get from their fake charities, qatar, the P.A., and other sources, on the people and instead spend it on luxurious lifestyles. The rest of the hamas budget is mostly spent on building rockets from civillian material and the military. plus, hamas started this war, and their attack was unprovoked. but, israel isnt good either. theyve killed thousands of kids, women, and innocent people who didnt do anything. The thing is: gaza is densely populated asf, its kind of impossible not to kill innocent people, but the magnitude israel has done this shows their irresponsibility and carelessness. about 35k have died in gaza from the war and the 90% of those are civillians according to the euro med human rights monitor. Israel has had a history of ethnic cleansing and discrimination against the palestinian race such as in 1948, where 700k palestinians were forced to flee. This conflict is a modern version of that, albeit to a lesser extent. israel is kind of forced to try to destroy hamas, as its just a horrible government for gaza and has been a huge nuisance for israel for years. back to civillian deaths, hamas doesnt really give a f where they are striking with their rockets either, along as its in israel territory and maximizes the possible harm of israel. (but most of the rockets are a waste and are just shot by the iron dome) if hamas had a stronger military than israel, the atrocities hamas would inflict upon israel would be absolutely insane. conclusion: israel is horrid, but hamas is a terrorist organization that is levels more horrid. let palestine be free, but never under the contol of P.A. or god forbid hamas.

Well I mean
They have had yhis feeling from the very beginning, there wasn't much if anything that Israel needed to do

I would also love a one state solution (with noone being upset about eeligion/ethnicity), but that isn't realistic.
If we went purely by terms of nativity, Jes have a stronger claim imo, with over 3000 years of residence, but Palestinians (=Arabs) have been living there for over 1000 years now as well

There used to be one state – ‘Mandatory Palestine’ – so it is possible though I think we can all agree it’s not probable; not right now anyway. (And never while Netanyahu and Hamas rule.)

While very, very different, Northern Ireland at least shows two opposing communities can overcome their divisions, however deep seated they were or are. Even Lebanon for a long time had Christians and Muslims living together in relative peace.

Alas. I’m a naďve optimist.
