The Columbian Military High Command would be left in a literal panic. firstly the Gold Mines had collapsed, which was a blow to Columbian influence on vesta, and to the Royal Family who had fond memories of the state. but then the literal next month. Columbia's greatest ally, longest ally, and most trusted ally. the Apollonians. collapsed into nothing but bitter anarchy. Since 1941 when the Columbians joined the Apollonians in there brutal fight against the Polish and Japanese, the nations had been allies. the 781 year alliance had practically never been broken. but now. Apollonia was gone. Columbia was left dumbfounded. how and why could this even just happen to a before this, perfectly stable nation. the Daleks were the root cause. the Emperor himself would order all flags across the Empire to fly at half mast, any violates would be fined, and a one week period of mourning would be declared as well. the Columbian Military would be quick into action. as it seems the Apollonian Mainland is far to unstable and invaded by no good Vultures who circled over the decaying body of there good friend. truly devilish. The Lunar Defence Force would be quickly mobilized and airdropped across the Apollonian Lunar Colonies.
Firstly entering major cities, while also securing any site of historical importance in the area. The Columbian Lunar Fleet would then bltis across the Lunar Nitrogen Sea and land Columbian Marines on its shores to occupy coastal towns, these coastal towns would be used as the spearhead for a greater armored assault across the Lunar Colony. in the former capital of the Apollonian Lunar Colonies. the "Emergency Provisional Government of the Apollonian State" would be declared. with General Joshua Higgens being sent to manage the Provisional Government for the time being, with debates raging in congress on what should be the final solution to this government.. the Columbians would act as liberators. rebuilding anything that had been destroyed on the moon and assuring the people that they would be protected by there ally. Columbia would save the Apollonian State. At whatever cost necessary. the Alliance will hold. Meanwhile, Apollonians currently living in Columbia would be offered the choice to move to the moon or stay within Columbia. many would. Columbian put the rates of Apollonian Survivors at 12 million at the very most. dismial. therefore Columbia officially declared themselves the protectors of the remaining Apollonians. stating that any acts of Genocide against the remaning population would be treated as an ACT OF WAR against Columbia. Meanwhile the so far dormant Columbian Military. restrained by Congress for so long is now waking up to this new reality. the Unvierse is no longer safe. the Imperium, the Cosmocracy beset Columbia on all sides. its two greatest allies are gone.
Meanwhile, there would be debates if a similar intervention should be carried out regarding the Gold Miners, however, the Imperial High Command decided against this. deciding that there were too few goldminers even left to justify the intervention. the Gold Miner Embassy would turned into a museam respecting Gold Miner Culture, meanwhile, Caledonia would be expected to take up the mantle as the new defacto gold miner state, as most of there population was either goldminer, or decedented form them. the Columbians will always remember the nation that despite all odds managed to prove that peace can be possible. The Gold Miner and Apollonian flags would be flown over the Royal Palace for the time being. and there nation anthems played on every TV across Columbia as one final act as respect towards there now-deceased allies. Meanwhile, while columbia was ready to do so. similar invasions to the one saw on the moon would take place on Apollonians Lunar and Venusian Territories. and these territories aswell would be added to the EPGAS. Meanwhile all Columbian Assets in Apollonia would be evacuated via wormhole.
Remain calm. Apollonian State endures. the IA lives. The Apollonian Columbian Alliance shall endure. There is much to be done.
Wuhu Island | Post-Apollonian Collapse
Wuhu Island during Apollonian control used to be a tourist hotspot from Apollonia and internationally. Its resort was very popular for its many activities' tourists could attend. Wuhu Island also had its own transit system called "Wuhu Island Transit" or "WIT" which managed stuff such as Boat Transit or intra island transport and would often help tourists out. This allowed Wuhu Island to gain a high GDP for only its small size. Before the beginning of the collapse a Businessman from the Nigerian planet of Reach would visit the Island.
The Collapse of Appolonia was sudden to many on Wuhu Island. Many didn't even know due to the odd obstruction of news from the mainland. It was only once a Dalek attack on Wedge Island and Wuhu Town did people know what was going on. Wuhu Island Security would be quick to attempt to form a defensive perimeter in Wuhu Island. Meanwhile the Nigerian Businessman, going by the name of Euan Barber would request to be appointed interim leader of Wuhu Island, this would be accepted because he offered to use his personal wealth to help the island recover. After a couple of hours and a constant losing battle missiles would strike most Dalek positions. Why this happened would be unknown to the Wuhu Island Security however despite this Wuhu Town and Wedge Island would be recaptured with all the Daleks dead. Shockingly to the WIS pretty much every civilian, tourist or not was murdered by the Daleks. Euan being the ambitious type would bribe most of the WIS with his wealth and use them to practically coup Wuhu Island, making it his own plaything.
Wuhu island would officially declare independence on Easter Sunday 2722 as simply "The State of Wuhu Island". Euan's first act would be asking for direct membership in the IA for Wuhu Island, but if that was not an option he would ask for the IA and Wuhu Island to enter into a treaty which would give the IA the ability to protect Wuhu Island. He would also begin reconstruction of the island and would begin to prepare to put Wuhu Island's economy into the sphere of a country like Columbia. Wuhu Island has survived, but if it can thrive like before is unknown.
