Changes in Government - May 1816
As the nation settles in for a hopefully peaceful era after gaining independence, the lethargic Council is shaken to the core. Out of the nine members, the representative of Caracas, a young stunning man, delivers a fiery speech on the need to strengthen both the position of Nueva Granada on the international stage and its economy.
The other members of the Council hears him out. He suggests further cooperation with the United States and the Kingdom of Italy, noting the need for the abolishment of slavery, also alluding to making the people freer than ever before. “Independence should be sought for all nations in South America,” he adds.
Recognising the lack of a leader leading to unsatisfactory results in governmental affairs, the Council unanimously decides to elect Simón Bolívar as the Prime Councillor, Primer Consejero.
Large reforms are expected in the coming years. Long live Nueva Granada, long live Primer Consejero Simón Bolívar.
France to Blockade Republican forces in Spain
- As a commitment to both the familial ties between the thrones of Spain and France, along with the First Royal Army being sent to assist King Ferdinand VII, a fleet of 90 vessels, consisting of 20 Ships of the Line (3 First Rates, 6 Second Rates, 21 Third Rates), 30 Corvettes, and 40 Sloops. While the goal is to starve the Spanish rebels from material, the vessels attempting to run the blockade will be dealt with as pirates and criminals against the French Crown. Vessels intercepted and willing to submit to a cargo check will then be redirected under escort to either a Portuguese or French Port and allowed to do business with local authorities.

- In a majestic display of Imperial reverence, His Imperial Majesty, entrusted with the divine responsibility as the head of the Shinto faith, led a procession of priests and Shogunate officials through the streets of Kyoto. The recent naval victory, where the Shogunate forces valiantly repelled the perfidious Westerners attempting to reclaim the city, was recognized as a manifestation of divine intervention by Hachiman. The Carmiglio Conspiracy and Burning of the New York Masonic Lodge - October 10, 1818
On the afternoon of October 10, 1818, a riot erupted in the heart of Manhattan. The affair came to a head following a speech given by New York State Senator Vernon van Krued at a street corner two city blocks from the Grand Masonic Lodge of New York. The rousing firebrand, who is also the youngest member of the State Senate at 29 years of age, called openly for the immediate destruction of the edifice, denouncing the Freemasons as a "pack of mystics with no good place in our society."
As the Senator continued through his speech, the crowd to which he spoke grew in size considerably, attracting workmen from the Orville Brothers Fabricant. In tandem, he expanded the subject of his polemic to members of the Federalist Party, whom he accused of doing the bidding of the Masons in New York. Soon thereafer, he claimed to have knowledge of a conspiracy within the city's government led by the Gulliver Carmiglio, a Swiss émigré and aide to New York City Mayor Cadwallader Colden.
Carmiglio, the Senator alleged, was a Freemason who plotted to poison Mayor Colden and orchestrate what van Krued described as a "violent arrest," of the city with the help of several, unnamed politicians. Sparking outrage, the accusations stirred the crowed into a frenzy, as the onlookers marched to the nearby lodge, demanding entry to the secret society's chapter.
Emerging from the building, several members attempted to calm the crowd while keeping them out. The situation escalated, however, when Oliver Anderson, an official of the lodge, insisted that "we have naught to withhold from your eyes worthy of your trouble," which the mob seemingly interpreted as an invitation inside. Local officers of the law either stood by or joined them, as the building was flooded with persons and ransacked. After sunset, a fire was reported to have started inside, allegedly by the crowd.
Evacuating rapidly, one person was killed in the fire, which soon grew into an inferno as local firemen struggled to extinguish it. Accusing the Freemasons of setting the center alight to "hide more secrets," policemen took several members of the lodge into detainment who were beaten nearly to death by the riotous crowd, who cheered with merriment at the brilliant scene of destruction.
In the wake of the affair, Mayor Colden urged New Yorkers to remain tranquil, acquiescing that van Krued's allegations will soon be investigated, as the activities of Mr. Carmiglio are scrutinized.

1817 Legislative Elections
Recently, spain had suffered a Civil War that Left it on Chambles, the Spanish Economy is in Ruins, but the king decided to Start and Recover, with the Plan of Los Dos Años, Centering on Recover the Kingdom, via Industries Recovery, Cheaper Goods, and Recover the Market and Invest on the Country.
This is needed for Change the Country, since the Disbelief by the Great Powers Around Spain That Provokes no Invest on our Economy. but at the same time we should make a election for A New Assembly which will elect the Authorities that will Govern our nation.
This will not be Simple but we need to do it.

The French Fleet has been deployed into the Atlantic with the purpose of seizing all merchant ships flying the Spanish Republican Flag and redirecting pro monarchist vessels to friendly ports for interrogation. Charles X has also made a call of the Monarchies of Europe to send supporting forces to show, while political division, and interests may differ between the many Great Houses of Europe, the Unity they must show in the face of dealing with Republican insanity takes priority.

- In the warning preceding the turmoil in Spain it seems that neither King Ferdinand VII, nor the death cult of republicanism have seen reason nor honor in their actions. King Ferdinand VII of Spain has relinquished the titles of the other kingdoms of the Iberian Peninsula to allow for the restoration of the Kingdoms of Galicia, Castille, Seville, Grenada, and Aragon. King Ferdinand VII of Spain will now be King Ferdinand VII of Aragon, with relatives of both Kings to be placed upon the thrones of the newly released Iberian Kingdoms. Conditions of the release of the kingdoms are to allow Templar orders to recruit and hunt down heretics and revolutionaries as well as economic oversight from France for 50 years to prevent conflicts due to the shock in the economies of the regions.
