Probably gonna go again tomorrow TBH

I'm not a huge hamburger guy (normally) but it was good

Quantarius mentioned it on VC last night and I woke up still thinking about it

I had some really good Levantine food tonight though

By Levantine, I mean like Mediterranean/Arabian. And yeah, I don't eat burgers when I go anywhere else, really. At work, I eat brisket for example.

I had a lamb and beef thing. We also debated the origin of baba ghanoush and I called Terry during our walk to settle it lmao. And yeah, brisket is good and the sauce we use with it is good.

Smoked, then kept refrigerated (not frozen) then flat topped as ordered.

Yeah that's as fresh as your gonna get with brisket that isn't coming straight off the smoker

Eminople wrote:Yeah that's as fresh as your gonna get with brisket that isn't coming straight off the smoker

Takes like 10 hours to smoke and it isn't the most consistent in terms of order frequency, so yeah.

It puzzles, disappoints, and immensely irritates me that the founder of an ally/embassy region has the audacity to insinuate that their region should officially encourage us to remove an official from office and to pretend they have any sort of relevant say in such a matter.

This region will be governed by the mandates and its own citizens and institutions, thank you.

Cabinet OKs R2.2 bil aid for flood-hit regions; R400 bil package to follow

Tanjō — Prime Kazuma Sato's cabinet decided Tuesday to use 2.2 billion ren from Reia's reserve funds for fiscal 2020 to support areas hit hard by torrential rain and flooding this month.

The government will use the emergency money to mainly help disaster-affected small businesses as well as the agricultural, forestry and fisheries industries in the southwestern region of Kyushu, including Kumamoto Prefecture where more than 60 people have died, and other areas, officials said.

Finance Minister Taro Aso told a press conference after the cabinet approval that the money will be used to deliver "supplies essential to people's lives and livelihoods" such as water, food and emergency cardboard beds to ad hoc shelters, and face masks, without waiting for local municipalities to request such help.

The torrential rain struck a wide area of Kyushu and eastern and central regions for about a week from July 3, with the nationwide death toll topping 70 as of Tuesday, authorities said.

Sato instructed government officials on Monday to compile an aid package worth more than 400 billion ren by the end of this month for devastated areas, after he visited Kumamoto Prefecture the same day.

To boost recovery, the cabinet designated the downpours a special natural disaster, facilitating extensions for completing official procedures such as renewing a driver's license and business licenses.

In total, 61 municipalities in Kumamoto and five of the country's other 46 prefectures benefit from the relief measures, which the government implemented for previous large-scale disasters.

The government's initial budget for the fiscal year has set aside 500 billion ren as a reserve fund, which was earmarked by the country's two supplementary budgets of more than 50 trillion ren in total for fiscal 2020.

General Assembly

Vote AGAINST Peaceful First Contact

by San carlos mission to the world assembly

|
Voting Recommendation
|
Resolution at Vote: Peaceful First Contact
Vote Recommendation: Against

Analysis

First, vote against this resolution because it is an extreme infringement on the national sovereignty. Voting for today's resolution would bar WA member nations from attacking individuals or groups of individuals who disregard national borders. Not only does this handcuff nations from performing their most basic function, defending it's borders; it will lead to the neoliberal wet dream that is open borders worldwide.

This resolution most certainly will end in uncontrolled mass immigration across the word, leading to; unemployment, conflict, crime, and cultural atrophy.

At the end of the day this resolution is poorly written and probably rushed to a vote because the author wanted a shiny badge as quick as possible and infringes on national sovereignty, thus it must be stopped.

For the above reasons, the ministry urges a vote Against this proposal.

Vote AGAINST Condemn Ravana

by San carlos mission to the world assembly

|
Voting Recommendation
|
Resolution at Vote: Condemn Ravana
Vote Recommendation: Against

Analysis

Despite recent, negative foreign affairs interactions with ravana; today's resolution must be voted against as the condemnation is not in good taste.

The authors of this Resolution reigning from the region of Lasagna simply want to condemn Ravana because they responded in a sour way towards a proposed merger between the two regions and unleashed "propaganda" against Lasagna. This lead to a raiding war between the two regions and then a peace negotiation that made matters worse.

As the negative reaction to the proposed merger and the raid was not out of the ordinary; it's clear to see this resolution is a childish way to get back at ravana.

For the above reasons, I urge a vote Against this proposal.
