The Whatever's Left of Sincadenas is a colossal, cultured nation, ruled by Council of Delegates with a fair hand, and renowned for its avowedly heterosexual populace, public floggings, and frequent executions. The hard-nosed, democratic, humorless, devout population of 9.969 billion Sincadenasians love a good election, and the government gives them plenty of them. Universities tend to be full of students debating the merits of various civil and political rights, while businesses are tightly regulated and the wealthy viewed with suspicion.

The minute government, or what there is of one, is primarily concerned with Spirituality, with Administration and Environment also on the agenda, while Law & Order and Education are ignored. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Birdhouse Central Commune. The average income tax rate is 3.8%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The powerhouse Sincadenasian economy, worth 378 trillion nothings a year, is driven almost entirely by government activity, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a large, well-organized, broadly diversified black market in Gambling. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is 37,972 nothings, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

It is firmly believed that cameras steal souls, the new intercity submarine SSN Black Hawk Warrior instills terror in claustrophobic travellers, weather reports simply advise Sincadenasians to 'look outside', and homosexuality has been banned to prevent the spread of homosexuality. Crime, especially youth-related, is all-pervasive, perhaps because of the country's complete lack of prisons. Sincadenas's national animal is the black hawk, which soars majestically through the nation's famously clear skies, and its national religion is Animism.

Sincadenas is ranked 290,834th in the world and 375th in The Leftist Assembly for Largest Automobile Manufacturing Sector, scoring -31.72 on the Henry Ford Productivity Index.
