The festivity communally know as "Autumn Feast", sometimes know as Feast of the Spirits, is an old Armatasian Custom stemming from the first tribes to settle on the Island.
Celebrated on the last days of october it celebrates the ending of the harvest seasons and the coming of winter. Local Communities organize grand feast for the community to gather together and share in food and drink, and large bonfires are lit. furthermore, its a day of remembrance of the dead and often offerings in form of food and other trinkets are placed on graves or local remembrance spots, which can be Groves, caves or small temple like structures. it was believed that spirits come back from the "other side" during this time to watch over their famillys, who will be soon facing the harsh winter. this is reflected in the songs traditionally sung during this celebration which are sometimes quite morbid, warning about potentiall death in the coming winter. Children also go around the neighborhood collecticting treats, which has its orign in acient times when orphans would go around to ask for extra food, then what they could earn by working. Another Custom during this time is to carve various Root vegtables into laterns, which were and still are used as lighting for the Paths between villages or inside villages, and were supposedlly in ancient times also emergency rations.
