A DIPLOMATIC OFFER
President Ronald Reagan has offered Germany a special trade agreement. Germany will sell Firearms to the USP and on return Germany will get natural resources, ores and investments from USP companies

Security of the Union
In the interests of the national security of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics the KGB has undertaken a program of removing those who are a threat to the Soviet Union, some are calling this a second purge. The KGB and armed forces have arrested hundreds of reformists within the CPSU and thousands of prominent independence activists in the Caucasus and Moldova. Comrade general secretary Romanov announced the arrests at the congress of the CPSU where Mikhail Gorbachev was accused of revisionism and anti-Soviet behaviour. This has led to a massive expansion of the KGB and MVD, granting greater power to internal security forces.
In reality what this accomplishes is removing many of Romanov’s opponents and solidifying his control of the CPSU and armed forces. Another benefit has been putting Romanov allies in power in the Moldavian SSR, the Armenian SSR and the Ukrainian SSR.
Romanov has also opened settlement opportunities in Moldova to encourage greater Russian and Ukrainian immigration to slowly change the demographics of the Moldovian SSR to make it more similar to the rest of the Union.
Romanov has also began discussing several new autonomous Soviet socialist republics(ASSR’s). In Moldava a Gagauz ASSR, in Georgia there would be South Ossetian and Abkhazian ASSR’s, this is to satisfy several of Romanov’s political allies.
